Starting to plan some local outings and then the summer trip. Good Sam has an outing at Grand Canyon Caverns May 8th-10th. Includes 3 nites camping, 2 dinners, 1 breakfast buffet and a tour of the caverns. Evie and I have rez and spending a night at the Avi KOA on the 7th...a bargain for 20 bucks a nite PT. http://gccaverns.com/ that outing is 150 dollars.

I also made reservations at Seven Feathers Casino rv park in Canyonville, Oregon to spend a week with Karen and Laura July 1st-8th. I've been telling them for a couple of years that I would come up and this is the year. Then cutting across to Boise to visit a couple of days with a cousin...after that, where ever the wind blows me. If anyone is in any of these areas and wants to GTG, let me know!

Velda, I will be coming straight up the 5 from SoCal...we'll sure try for something! I'll let you know when I'm leaving home, probably around June 27th.

The Oregon stay sounds interesting. Would you, Karen and Laura care if I joined in?

HI Sharon

I no longer live on the Central Coast of CA (Pismo Beach) and am now more Northern CA - near Tracy. Could possibly meet you and/or Velda on your way up Hwy. 5. By then, I might even have my MH from the Central Coast to this area. Do you know where you will be staying your first night or so on the road? Hope to see you this summer. Won't be going to Q this year - too busy getting settled in my new home and helping out with grandkids.

Hi Sandi,
Of course you're welcome to join but I recommend reservations as the park was full last year. I'm just a maybe for this trip because of work.

Laura

On edit: It's actually called 7 Feathers RV Resort. No rivers, just a teeny, tiny creek

I grew up in Tracy and still own a house there that is rented out, fortunately to good people.
I live about 15 or so miles east on I-80 from I-5 as it goes through Sacramento. Folsom lake has some nice camping areas and is state park area. It's about 15 min out of Roseville and might actually have water if it rains some more! may is often when it is approaching high for the year. We can talk as time gets closer. We also have two big rivers through here, the American and Sacramento Rivers meet near town and head into the Delta.

Thinking about it....would love to meet others. I've met Laura and would like to see her again.

Right now I am on the Oregon coast - Beverly Beach State Park. Full hook-ups, including cable tv. Ocean view, beautiful beach a few steps away. $ 27, 26 without tv. There are cheaper sites as well.
