on my way!

I have been (rightly) reminded that I should check in here. I'm on my way south again for the winter. I got off late because I was asked to stay and house sit in December, but I finally left Massachusetts early in the week. I've made it as far as PA and should make MD in another day or so.
What a difference a year - and a lot of experience -makes! Plus all the new systems I had installed last winter. The solar panels and the inside propane heater are making a world of difference. I've got enough energy to keep me and the pets comfortable if I can just beat the coldest weather.
I've also discovered house and pet sitting. I have two jobs, one in February in VA and another in March - April in Connecticut. It's not allowing me a lot of leisure time, but I'm spending a lot less time figuring out just how to survive and get from place to place. I won't be going to Florida this year, but I do plan to get to the Carolinas and GA. Happy New Year!

Sharon, it's great to hear about your adventures and how you have customized your home on wheels so everything works for you! You're going to be in our neck of the woods in MD, if we were home, but we choose not to stay home for the winters. You must adore the cold weather to stay in the areas where you're working for the winter. More power to you! Keep us posted on what you are doing.

Glad that your rig is providing well for you. Your travel plans just demonstrate once again how diverse this group is and how individually created this lifestyle can be......

Thanks for checking in - so glad to know your rig mods are working. I remember how cold you were last Jan.

Wicked cold and windy this morning. But this is no big deal after last year. My water pipes are frozen but I got all my water needs stuff done yesterday, and I know the main tank (under the bed, inside) will be ok. I just take it slow. Hate the cold but I go where I get the house sitting gigs.
