Restless leg syndrome

Postby BarbaraRose » Thu Dec 25, 2014 3:17 pm

Anyone know how to get rid of this??? Last night I had it really bad, even in my arms. I imagine it was brought on because I was so stressed out and exhausted. It finally stopped after a few hours and I got some much needed sleep, but I just hate that feeling!
Any ideas would be very welcoming!

Barb, you might want to try some Magnesium. The citrate form is best. It relaxes the muscles. It could have just been from stress. Take extra care of your body right now and try to eat healthy as stress just burns you out. I hope things are better with your dad.

Completely agree with Wanderer2. I have a fizzy magnesium I really like. Latest reports show many of us are magnesium deficient ESP when under stress. I make mine warm and fizzy drink before bedtime nightly and it also helps me get to sleep. No doubt you are very overwhelmed right now. Do take care and know you are in my thoughts.
My stuff is called Ionic fizz and I get it at health food store.

Thanks for the suggestions! Love the rum and eggnog one!
Will look for the magnesium when I get a chance.

I was reading on-line and a lot of people say that putting a bar of soap at the foot of the bed under the sheets works really well. Weird, but worth a try! At the very least it will make my sheets and feet smell good!
Maybe another bar under my pillow since my arms get restless too!
Will let you know if that works... (better put the bars in there before I drink the rum and eggnog, or I will forget to do it afterward!)

Often bananas help. I get leg cramps or charley horses and a banana a day seems to help a lot.
