Remember Fulton House?

They wouldn't let us use flash with our camera's so I don't have many good photos. This one made me of think of Carol Burnett's wonderful skit on Scarlet O'Hara. Remember she made a dress out of the drapes, complete with the curtain rods.

Maybe I was tired, but this bed looked so comfortable. I love canopy beds.

I hung back and managed to take the copper lined tub with my flash.

Look how the wind blows constantly off the Gulf. It has made these Live Oaks all bend the same way.

This tree is over 1000 years old. Think what the world was like when it started growing.

Good for you - I like the tub - doesn't it tick you off when you can't use the flash - some places I understand but...
love the old tree - think of how much it has seen.l

OK - here are some of my pics from today. Starting with one the same as Sparkle's first shot in the house - let's see how they compare :)

Image

An upstairs bedroom - notice how the pictures are hung on the wall in this and the last picture. I love it - and if I ever lived in a stick house again, would probably follow this example. So kewl. And these are original to the house.

Then light and ceiling in the entrance:

OK, we didn't just go to Fulton Mansion, but one big of the BIG tree was enough so here's a few other pics from our day:

look carefully at this picture. All the little green parts of leaves? Well those are all moving - by ants carrying them. These ants were working soooooooooo hard.

A statue on the water in Rockport:

Sparkle and I found a house that we'd like someone to buy us. No, we didn't take a picture of it - but we happen to love the street it's on - and it has a main house and two little houses. We figure whoever buys it can have the main house - we'd each take one of the little ones :) Any of you want to buy us a house?

On that same street, here's a mailbox:

Lori and Ernie - If you take the route I recommend for you when you leave, you'll go through Rockport.

Wonderful pictures, thanks for sharing.
That tree does look it's age. Who would have thought a tree will get gnarly and nubby like people when they get old? :P

Neat place. Loved the trees....wonder why the grass is bending one way and the trees the opposite way? Another favorite was the leaf-bearing ants....I love to notice the "little things" too.
