This Season We Call Fall

A couple of years ago, I made up a photographic tour on fall for those who wanted to enjoy the season, but couldn't get out and to see it or live where they don't have it per say. Thought that since we have so many new members, that maybe you would enjoy taking a tour through This Season We Call Fall. Maybe Beth could move that post in here from where it is perhaps?

Fall. Autumn. Yes. . . I kinda remember what that is.

It has something to do with cool weather, right?

Yesterday it was one-hundred ten (110) degrees on my front porch (which is in the shade). Today is was a cool one-hundred five (105). My beautiful, formerly green, back yard - about a quarter acre - is brown and brittle. Twice weekly watering, as mandated under current water rationing rules, is not nearly enough to keep the plants going in this kind of heat.

It is supposed to cool a bit, starting tomorrow. . . only high 90's for the rest of the week.

No rain in sight. Terrible wild land fires in many places in my general area of Northern California. The air is filled with the haze of smoke.

Local reservoirs showing historic low-water levels.

I'm just about to bail on Northern California - but not sure where I would go, with my family here.

The grump (Anne)

Really enjoyed that. We don't have that in Central Florida. Our palm trees don't change color.

We are just starting to see a hint of color here in southern MN. Up north was a little more, mostly just the maples so far.
Fall just doesn't last nearly long enough!

Thanks for sharing that again, Sue!

Sue, all you have to do is reply to an older post, like Sarah did, and that brings it back to the top.:-)

Beautiful photos Sue - doesn't matter what year they were taken. I'm hoping Fall around here is better than last year since we've had more rain.

Beautiful photos!

We're not seeing much color here . . . but I can hardly wait!
