Moving On in San Carlos, MX

Not having much luck with the Internet lately. In Kino it was on and off the last couple of days. Seems like Iā€™d just get signed in and it would go out.
Any way we are now in San Carlos about 100 miles, as the crow flies, south. Again right across the street from the Gulf of California.
This is a little hand painted plate we got in Kino

Instead of using the GPS this time I used my laptop with Microsoft Streets and Trips. A lot easier to see and the 2007 version has very good maps of Mexico, this is Hermosillo and I can make it bigger and clearer if I want.

Passing a semi on the road. They have two 53ā€™ trailers. Seems like you will never get past them

Some signage - warning that the shoulder just drops off and is dangerous

Menu where we ate today ā€“ something got lost in the translation I think.

Great photo's Carol, I haven't been to the Totonaka RV Park but hear it is always packed, great views of San Carlos. We used to go out to the tip of the hill at the end of your photo to watch the Sunsets. It always has such beautiful Sunsets.
Menu cracked me up!

So glad to see your post. Was wondering if you stayed in MX or headed back north as you had said was possible. Glad you decided to stay. Just look at the beautiful pictures and time.

I laughed at the menu - just as I laughed today when I was in Mexico - have one receipt where the price is listed in two different places - one is somewhere in the $400's - I paid $34. :)

Keep the posts, pictures and your stories coming!

Fantastic pictures. I loved the little plate and may have to remember that design and go to our local Paint n Clay store and get myself a piece of greenware and see if I can paint the design. Just love it. And Oh My Goodness....that menu cracked me up!!!
I so enjoy your posts from MX. Enjoy your new locale and have a Wonderful weekend.

That plate with those spectacular colors needs to just get hung up on the wall like a painting, rather than covered over with snacks, or something! I LOVE it!

Sure good to see more of your travels, Carol. Your photos are sort of convincing me that perhaps I should visit Mexico one day, although I never have, and always thought I never would. It's very intriguing down there! But I still would not go alone.....would have to find someone who had been there before and could tell me what to do and where to go and what to watch out for.

Thanks so much for the great pics of your journeys!
