Yesterday my friends from Mass, Donna and Joyce, and I went to Fredericksburg. It a neat little German town about 25 miles from Kerrville. We had lunch at a German restaurant. I think we hit every shop in town but didn't actually buy much altho I did get some fudge. Today we're going to Carole's for dinner.

This building is the Nimitz World War II Museum. We didn't go inside cause none of us are history buffs but the building is fascinating. Supposed to look like the prow of a ship.

This is just one of many old churches in Fredericksburg.

I didn't see the New Year come in - fell asleep about 10pm. When the fireworks started both my dogs leaped under the covers then growled at every firecracker. My big mean dogs.

You're rekindling memories of the great time we had there. Yes, the building does look like a ship. Amazing how they managed to do that. The park there is really an interesting area also. Did you take your friends there?

Happy New Year !!

Carol

Beautiful old church. I love looking through them and at them.
I, too, would probably pass on the maritime stuff. Thanks for sharing.
