What beautiful scenery! It is so green this time of year and I am sure the rain made it even more green, along with more flowers blooming! Are the saguaros blooming yet? They have such pretty blossoms. The deserts are so pretty this time of year. :D

beautiful!!! have been having company (my sister in law and brother in law from IA) and Merry made an observation that sorta
made sense she said she thought that the rain washed some of the dust off the plants thereby making them look greener and brighter
what ever it is they do look greener and brighter!! that area is so neat thank you for posting your pictures on that area
sheila
Oh Barbie the Saguaro's bloom later we stay in the area till April 15 and rarely have seen them bloom have seen them starting to...the first year
we were down here we went to the Saguaro National Park by Tucson and they were just barely starting although did see the blossom there and you are right they are really pretty

Love the late afternoon sun glow shots.
Hope Thistle's paw is better. Nicky says have to watch for those pesky sticky things (he knows from finding a sand spur).

I have been distracted and haven't kept up with WRV or blogs lately..have started catching up...As usual, great pics and makes those of us in our homesteads feel we get to share.. I took my little Schnauzer out west a few years back, she got into the sand burrs, was a real problem as she refused to get out and use the bathroom after I spent an hour getting them out..someone told me about moccasins for them. I didn't find any but this might work for Thistle next time.

"Tell Thistle we didn't walk off the paved roads either," said Stuart. "Remi has gotten so good at recognizing where stickers grow that he takes one sniff and look at a campground or rest area and makes a decision of whether or not it is safe to even walk."

Hi Liz, thanks for the colorful tour of the Barrio in Tucson. I've been boondocking in Tucson since Dec. and everytime I come around a corner there is color and art. If you're in town give me a jingle 541-690-4828 safe travel, Gretchen B.
