Had a Mexican experience I wasn't expecting. Ended up spending the night in the hospital. Combination of cold/flu, reaction to antibiotic injection and panic attack. Hospital and medical care great. But I would have missed it if I could have. Wrote about it at http://lifeinbrowncounty.blogspot.com

I'm so glad it didn't end up being anything serious. But how scary. Big hugs to both of you!

Glad you are OK! I have had panic attacks and they are no fun at all! Very scary! At least now you know what they are and can do something to control it, if it happens again.

Wow - unbelievable personal service by the doctor and the nurse. Here I've sat in emergency room for hours with similar symptoms. Glad you're feeling much better now. Don't over-exert too quickly, don't want the cold/flu to hit you with a round #2.

So happy you are feeling better and if you had to have experience with medical profession there, it turned out to be a positive one.

Glad you are feeling better. Mexico sounds like the place to get sick, not here. If you go to one of the walk-in clinics here you are lucky to see a nurse practitioner, never a doctor. You go to an emergency room and you will be there 6 hours waiting on them to do something and you might not see a doctor either. I have been to several walk in clinics with my son lately and have not been happy with them. If you are really sick they can't treat you and tell you to go to an emergency room and that will be $100. If you go to the emergency room it will be $1,500.

I was given Valium one time and it made me throw up too.

Take it easy and don't over do it.

Martha

What a scary experience!! And what amazing care from all!! So different from the impersonal treatment here, I know it is a hard job but I sometimes think compassion is against the policies of healthcare in the US.

Oh Carol when I read on Facebook you had been in the hospital I was dumbfounded you never get sick! Very glad you are better...
Also panic attacks are horrid... I had them so bad for about 6 months twenty some years ago... they were so bad they could not find out what was going on they even did a heart cath to see if my heart was involved... they just found out that my arteries were hooked up opposite... I put labels on everything because I was going to die! scary!!! eventually they left me... I hope you never have to deal with one again... take care and big hugs from Florida...
