No Baja Beach Shower usage...the non-stop (almost) winds would have blown it clear down the coast...
I was going to toss it; however, I decided all that PVC could come in handy some day.
Or maybe if I'm ever homeless, I could use it then.

She did use her solar shower though - several times to wash her hair. (I haven't taken mine out of it packaging.)

Yeah, that solar shower worked GREAT! And the solar panel I put together is doing a terrific job of keeping my battery charged. I really am falling in love with solar.

I think when I get home, I will get 2 x 50 watt panels and hinge them so the same 100 watts will be half as wide when storing in the back seat of the truck. That way, I can have a front seat passenger and put The Beast in the back seat.

I am also in love with that little solar light I bought quite a few months ago for this trip. I lights up the whole little trailer just fine and I even loaned it to some people next to me camping in a van and an itty-bitty tent (and they weren't spring chickens, either...). Anyway, guys wants one - he said he could even read by it.

I just had a nice, long FaceTime with The Doofus. Gosh, I miss that girl. I miss picking on her for sure.

Is that the light that floats?

The FaceTime was fun! I'm surprised that it worked so well with you in Baja.

So glad to see your post. Jealous of the beach and scenery but not of sand in dog hair and rig.
Hang on to that shower; bet you get a chance to use it sooner or later.
Sick of seafood - sounds impossible.

I love your blog entries, Mitch! It's really neat reading about this trip from a bunch of different viewpoints. Each blog is unique and just as interesting as the others. I am interested in your solar panel and what you use to regulate the power generated to your battery? I would love to get some solar panels for my trailer, especially to use down here in the sun country where power would be so prolific. You girls are in the right place this winter, so far, what with all this frigid air about!

Soos, here's the charge controller that I have.
They're really cheap, and if you're in no rush, you can get it REALLY cheap directly from China (their post is very slow.)
I can't tell you how much I really love the solar power.
We'll see if I feel the same way when I'm parked in a State Park with lots of trees!

Sheila, here's the solar lamp that I have, although I don't think it would work for your needs. What about a solar motion sensing light?

Shrimp right off the boat. I am officially jealous! I love fresh shrimp!

I suspect several of us would like to attend "Mitch's Solar Power School" this summer. Lots of questions coming your way at get-togethers! :D
