Beach Camping and Other Thoughts

Well do expect some duplication of photos.... :) All of us are staring out at the same wonderful beach and listening to the boom of the surf. The constant sound of the surf is so much more relaxing than the constant sound of traffic along the interstate when you park at one of the easy, close to the interstate campground during your travels.....Mysteries of life.... :)

What a beautiful view from that restaurant! Glad you are all having fun!

(My photos of a huge dolphin pod near Catalina Island look just like yours. I know they are there, but hard to prove that to someone else looking at the photo!  )

Love the blog - narrative & pics! You're right each person & camera will capture their own unique perspective of this adventure. And we appreciate each & every one of them!
Looks like you're having a great time - especially once you got to the beach :D :D :D
Seeing the beautiful vacant stretch of sand & sea helps me to understand the attraction. :D
Prayers continue to make sure you all stay safe as you journey on.
Catherine

Great perspective, Tina. Who gathered all that firewood?

The owner of the campground said it was free with the camp site and sent a younger man (son?) down with a load on a pickup truck. Mitch promptly tipped the young man and all were happy for a campfire. Mitch is in charge of our campfires.... :) She is the best!

enjoyed your perspective of the tripe ;)
truly enjoyed the pictures of the beach and the water...I'm really not sure that Shadow would get in it when we are walking
and come to water (such as it rained last night type of water) he will get a drink but rarely walks through it...will have to take him
to a lake and see what he does...
have a safe and fun trip think of us often ok?

Sorry about the rough drive but that beach sure looks like it was worth the effort.

Gorgeous! I think I'd be tempted just to stay for a month. You are so right about the sound of big water; I don't know anything more soothing. My son was a miserable infant, so on a rough day we'd just ride the ferry from the island to mainland and back, over and over. Very calming for both of us!

I hope Audrey has decided she likes the ocean! I'll bet she has, with so many wise mentors. Good thing William wasn't there. He loves ponds, streams, swamps, and mud puddles, but he considers big water treacherous.

Thanks for the wonderful posts from all of you!
