Somehow I got an email or ad from Etsy, so I checked it out. Know someone mentioned this website a while ago, so thought I'd ask my question here, hoping someone can give me their thoughts....
I've picked out some Christmas gifts to be sent to relatives in Southern CA.... almost $300 worth. Before I finished the order I sent an email to one of the vendors (most expensive gift), but have not gotten a return email. So, can anyone tell me if I should just not buy from that website or is it a good place to buy items or ??? Would really appreciate any experience anyone has had....

My daughter sells and buys on Etsy all the time
not any problems....you know how the net is...
I would go ahead and do another email ...something
might be wrong with email...and be sure and check
this sight out...read everything...she might be out
of town...and it should say something to that affect
on her store..

Many, if not most, of the seller's on Etsy are people making things in their homes while they might have another full time job, etc. So they might not be as quick to respond to an email, etc. I have several friends who sell some of their handcrafts on Etsy. So, I wouldn't be so surprised when someone might not respond immediately. Just make sure if/when you do purchase, that you use a credit card and keep records of everything in the transaction - so that if you have to refute the charges, you've got all your i's dotted and t's crossed.
