I'm not posting much these days..maybe it's the season but Beth, I just want to tell you I think you are one of the bravest women I've ever known and you are so inspiring for the women who want to follow in your footsteps...I think I could have if all the pieces had fallen in place a few years sooner...Lady Bird will still get some use but it will be with my brother and nephew this year as we're planning a long excursion to the SW when school is out...I hope you're feeling better....Merry Christmas!

Livermore looks like a lovely town...
Thanks for posting & sharing the ups & downs of this adventurous lifestyle.
Looking forward to you getting down to Baja with the others & enjoying the winter in a warm zone.

AMEN, SISTAH!
It's 34 right now in Tucson and that reading is from my storage compartment!
Baja can't get here soon enough!

Thanks for posting interesting pictures from Livermore. I've been by there a million times but have never looked at the town. Glad you are feeling better...those sore throats are a miserable bummer!!! And, yes, Baja is getting closer and closer!!
If you get to see the Robots, will you get to see the Drones? Isn't technology wonderful! It is moving forward much too fast for me to keep up. However, I do love my new iPad and use it every evening. Looking forward to seeing you again if only for a couple hours! Are we destined to "pass on the road" forever?!?! lyn

Speaking of art in towns have you seen the murals by Wyland of the whales? I use to seek them out as I traveled the country. Many were visible from the intestate.
Here's a list

Sheila, you got my curiosity going so I had to go to Google who sent me to Wikipedia where I found this:
Livermore was founded by William Mendenhall and named after Robert Livermore, his friend and a local rancher who settled in the area in the 1840s. Livermore is the home of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, for which the chemical element livermorium is named (and thus, placing the city's name in the periodic table).

Thanks, Beth! A school friend (now deceased) lived in Livermore, but I have never been there! Time to get off the beaten path.

Livermore used to be one of those towns you just past by going up to Tahoe. Now it is a really cute bustling community with (of course) some very expensive real estate.
