Great pics Liz. I LOVE the sunset pics. One especially' "Sonoran Desert at sunset," could be framed or a beautiful calendar photo.

Great blog post Liz. I love the desert. I won't argue with you on the "Flicker". I do however argue with others while actually birding. The desert birds are so wonderful. And, the "winter" ducks have arrived in our flood control channel!!! Glad the weather is improving for you. lyn

Haven't been there but it is on my list for March for a few days. Any cell service there?

Thanks, Liz. Love all your photos and sun rise/set are among favorites but it seems as if the birds of America have learned to pose for your camera.

Good cell service and good TV with antenna.

As Liz says, cell service is good there.
Liz, I think I've done all the trails you did. I love that place. And as you so aptly showed - the sunrises and sunsets are both just as gorgeous. Because I had to pay a day visit payment to just go during the day, I didn't go as often as I would have liked... but found another area to hike in Arizona City that had gorgeous views, also (and no cost - yes, I'm cheap, lol).

I will put that on my list to visit. I think that is a ladder-backed woodpecker.

I think she said that because of the red... no flicker or woodpecker in my books has quite that coloring. So I have no clue ... (by the way, you were not meaning this question to sound the way it does, did you? I know I say things that come out all wrong in person but more often when typing.)
