That was a very interesting tour. And the best way to see a city is with your own personal tour guide. How nice that Sandi could go with you and share her knowledge of zSan Francisco.

Funny you happen to have just taken a tour there. I just watched the movie "Escape from Alcatrez" day before yesterday.

Brought back memories to me...thanks for posting. I have only been to SF twice and only really saw a few things. The city is so beautiful and interesting.... :)

What a great time touring Alcatraz. And with a forum friend. How great to have Sandi near.

Hope you got to the BV (Buena Vista) Cafe. Great people, packed to the gills, awesome Irish Coffee and more. Definitely a "Go to" and wouldn't miss it if I went back there again. In fact I may just go back there for that alone (and Marin County). Gosh I miss that place.

The packed to the gills leaves me cold lolol ... I like the places without the crowds. And as a non-coffee drinker, that doesn't grab me either. But I bet it's a great place - and maybe next time I'll check it out :)
