Macbook power adapter

Just had a very pleasant experience at the Apple store.
My macbook is 2 1/2 years old & the power adapter has been working very inconcistently for the past month or so. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it charges, sometimes it doesn't. I'd have to fiddle with it to get it positioned just right to work.
Anyway I've been dreading purchasing another one at $79 - have researched off-brands, etc.
Googling the problem, frequent responses said to take laptop & adapter into Apple to have them check it out.
Soooooo, today I made an appt at the genius bar & took it in.
They ran diagnotics, went & got a box with a replacement adapter, plugged it in, tested it & said I was good to go!!! NO charge! I am so happy!!
Just wanted to let any of you with macbooks to take them in if your adapter starts to go south.
I am a very happy camper!
