Yesterday we went to the Neon Boneyard for a tour. It's where a lot of the old signs from the old casinos are stored. So glad someone had the sense to keep them not scrap them. It is an hour tour and well worth it - the guide was great lots of history and information and gossip. I post about it on the blog including some of the old signs.

Very interesting history. Nice to see they used the old signs instead of filling some landfill.

That would be so cool to see, especially at night, all lit up! Love those old neon signs!

My sister lives in Vegas so used to stop coming and going but since Larry died I've gone around it....really need to get over the fear of
Vegas driving thing is I didn't like being a passenger when going through towing!! really need to get over it...What rv park did you stay at...that is the other thing I seem to remember that the park we stayed at was very narrow streets not sure that I'm up to narrow streets in the park...so think for away it will be trips up to see the sister...from Q she is only ......can't remember but it wasn't long couple three hours perhaps...
that would be a fun tour...
enjoy your insights of an area...thanks for sharing with us...

ohhhh, I really enjoyed that and have promised myself someday I will get up to see Las Vegas. Its so close that its a shame I haven't been there yet. I'm not a gambler but just seeing the sights will be fun.

Sheila - we stay at the Thousand Trails RV Park on Boulder Hwy near Desert Inn. The roads in it are very narrow and I hate it when Bill is backing into spaces here. This year somehow we managed to get a big and easy in space.
