Okay here are a couple of pictures of the Deck after the deck folks were finished. It doesn't mean that the landscaping around the front of the deck isn't still missing some gravel and and clean up but I didn't ask for that. I paid for the deck. Husband gets to provide for the remainder of the clean up and landscaping.
Here is the view over the dog gate that leads to the dog porch and the steps down to the acre of yard. The gate will remain open most of the time but could be closed which would either keep dogs from the yard or keep the dogs in the yard and off the deck.... "Wait," says Remi, "I didn't ask to be demo dog for this assignment!"
Here is the yard gate open...
Here is the view from the back door. The people gates on the left and the dog gate to the yard on the right. The larger red building in the picture (24 ftx 24 ft) is the famous Pottery Studio....with the Pottery Man's Pottery van parked out front....
Here is the Dog Deck from the rear parking area. The old metal gate will be replaced in time but it has been repurposed for the time being. The whole area needs to be graveled eventually.
This is the view from the rear parking area looking at the people gates leading up to the rear door.
The dogs are demonstrating the concept of having two people gates and a holding area. They are inspecting the platform that is not theirs!
The other nice addition is the new flooring. I think I already posted the vinyl wood planking that went down in the living room but here are pictures of the vinyl "slate" looking floor that went down in the kitchen and my office...which is where the dogs and I hang out the most.
One it doesn't show much dirt and two it cleans up wonderfully with a Shark Steamer....Rainy wet days are so much easier to deal with now....
The best part...I still have enough $$ in savings to pay for my gas this winter!
