Looks like the start of fun, even with one bad (horse) apple.

Tina, hard to believe that it's already time for you to be heading home. Looks like you had lots of fun. Can't wait for the continuation of the story. Cowgirl up!

What a great week! I would love to do that someday! Looks like a great group of women!

**I used to ride English when I was between 8 and 17. I have to say that some English riders can be very snooty. Most of the girls I rode with were from wealthy families and had their own horses. I used the school horses. The rich girls always looked down at the rest of us. That is not to say that there aren't nice English riders around (I know several wonderful women who ride English), but Twelve sound like one of the snooty ones. I would never show up at a ranch like that and expect to ride English. There are places that do cater to English riding, tho. She needs to hook up with one of those instead! She obviously didn't do her homework when she signed up.

Can't wait to see more pics and hear more stories!

very interesting! I grew up on a cattle ranch had a few horses like three or four or less who ever remembers after all these years? :?
they were mostly for Dad to ride although we did learn to ride and I do enjoy it ...been wishing these past summers that I could go for a ride.
and just haven't availed myself of doing so...it looked like fun and it seems like there is always someone who isn't happy...I'm quite till I get to
know those I'm around but usually am happy...
keep the pictures coming

Tina.....I so enjoyed your first day....and agree that Miss "I only ride English" should have studied up more about the ranch or just "sucked it up" since she was already there....My sister, Becky, who rode both styles, always said that a "well rounded horse woman" is one who enjoys both.......personally, I'm still a "beginner" and prefer western ride....the saddle horn gives me something to hold on to....

And "wine" was involved in the evening activities.... :D Well, that would be enough for me to stick it out and enjoy the ride....

Can't wait for the rest of the story...... ;) :D

Looked like it was a start of a great trip Tina. Can't wait for the next installment.

As for Twelve, any good rider should be able to ride both English and Western. She needs to get off her high horse  and relax.

Thought I'd pass along this clip showing just how similar they are.

I am definitely going to enjoy this ride as I am not a horsewoman! Hard to believe your week is over!

The sad part was I don't think Twelve was expecting to ride English but none of the rest of us could not imagine coming solo to an all women's Cow-Girl Up week and not come interested in meeting and getting to know new folks. We were intelligent interesting women.... :)

Too bad for Twelve----the rest of you looked to be having a super time! I think it must have been a trip to remember and tell about for a long time to come! Can't wait to hear about if in FL this winter at the GTGs!

Thanks for the great pics and narration!
