What is the point of having a loud muffler... And running all over the wal Mart parking lot
Sounding like you're going to fly into Outer space at any moment... I must be too old..

And I never realized how fast people drive in a parking lot
And I'm just not talking about the loud muffler guys... Everybody's zooms around

 me too
oldest grandson and son both had the loud pipes put on their cars and I don't see the point either, makes me annoyed
when they rattle their pipes up and down the driveway. I remind them "nicely" how much they are asking for police "guidance"

You mean they don't have the windows down with the radio blaring. There was a bunch that lived past us and my windows would rattle when they passed. So glad they moved. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to sleep in a parking lot. But that probably wouldn't be louder than my sister's snoring.

You are reminding me of why I don't care for Walmart parking lots except on the rare occasion.

It isn't just Walmart. I am staying in a relatively "luxury" type RV park, and when I came in the first spot they gave me had a guy across the road sitting out with his girlfriend playing music very loudly.

My motorhome came with an outside entertainment center with a CD player and radio, plus some speakers. I would not even consider assuming that everyone wanted to listen to my type of music!!

Like they say, you just can't fix stupid.

Some have the loud mufflers to make their car sound like a hot rod even when it isn't. Another trick is to turn the cover for the air filter upside down, which will suck in more air and make it noisy too.
ah - guess we were all young once (and still are in spirit)

Thankfully my first ever Wal-Mart overnight was relatively quite by around 11:00 PM; lots of traffic prior to that.

All this talk is making me reconsider Walmart----Flying Js never seem to have loudness, other than perhaps some trucks running all night to either keep drivers warm or cool, and that is a comforting sound to me. Hmmmm......

The really loud music annoys me more than loud pipes.

Not saying its right, but the easier an engine can breath the more power you can get from it. Some of these load exhaust systems are people trying to "improve" the performance of their cars. Normally they are just annoying. The thumping bass in in some of these cars, I wish their car would just vibrate apart like in a cartoon :o . When you're sitting there listing to your own radio with the windows shut and all of a sudden you can't hear your own radio its just ridiculous.

Many RV's come with outdoor entertainment systems these days. Never understood sitting in the "great outdoors" watching tv. As for stereos many are just too loud. If I can listen too your radio several sites away, it's too loud. Also, turn it off when you leave. I think I've used my outdoor speakers twice. The most recent is we were in the "resort" on a week day and we were pretty much alone. I did a walk around to see how far my sound traveled to insure I did not disturb anyone.

Also put your campfire out before you leave. Don't leave it smoldering and smoking up the place.

Common courtesy, well it's just not that common anymore.

What these people with the loud music don't understand is that they are damaging their hearing. My youngest son is one of them. He can't hear his phone over his music. My older son already has hearing loss from working with planes in the Air Force.

I won't go to concerts anymore because I need ear plugs just to stand the loud music. It's not worth it. Noise seems to bother me more than anything. I think that's why I don't like casinos.
