I'm not leaving until Tuesday, but guess I should leave a little unseen for when you all make your bucket list trips to this island paradise. Here are a few sights from today.
Old Lahaina Town - Front Street
Island of Lanai as seen from Lahaina
Banyan Tree - a centerpiece of Lahaina. Imported from India, it was planted in April 1873 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Christian missionary work. It was 8 feet tall then. Now at 140 years, it's 60 feet tall and covers 2/3 of an acre. As a branch spreads, it drops down roots that eventually become a sort of trunk that supports the branch.
Under the tree
Main trunk
So much beauty
Sandi

Great pictures. Glad you're enjoying Maui. We used to anchor there right where the boats are in your picture and row to shore to eat at the old Pioneer Inn in Lahaina. Ultimate boondockin
. Love old Lahaina!

Thank you, Sandi! I have really enjoyed your take on Maui since I just couldn't warm up to it tho I visited some of the same places. I think it was the amount of traffic. I have an invitation to go again next June, but they are staying in the same condo complex without the pretty beach.

Gorgeous pictures, Sandi! Thanks so much for posting them to give us an idea of what we can see if we ever get there, too. I love that they are large and can be used as wallpaper!
