Of course, I didn't have my camera OR my phone ... so no pics. Was walking Peaches... in town ... and here comes a small black bear crossing the street in front of us. Stopped. Waited. Let him/her disappear and Peaches and I continue on our way. Guess it was boring where the bear when ... cuz all of a sudden it comes running back across the street (still in front of us, but closer) and off into the woodsy area around the convention center.

Cute little guy/gal ...

And lucky for me, Peaches ignores bears.

Wow! That's a little more excitement than I would have preferred while walking Tucker! And Peaches was unfazed... she has become a native Alaskan canine!

Duncan goes nuts when he sees a chipmunk he would take my arm out if the socket if he saw a bear. I was visiting a friend in MA who had a front half of one punted on the wall. Let me tell you Duncan Ustinov have treed him 25 times in 24 hours. He was so funny. Nothing else got his attention but that bear.

LOL, and I know what she really typed, I'm pretty sure.

Oh, Peaches goes nuts with chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits - but the bears are bigger and she totally ignores them. I'm encouraging this behavior in her. So Duncan might be different with a bear, too, you never know.

Maybe Duncan should have two names. It's meant to be.
