Time to look for that RV

OMG what a year. Finding myself unexpectedly single after 20 years. Major back problems, surgery for a spinal fusion. Well, as they say, you makes your plans and then life happens. I'm finally feeling on the road to recovery from all of this, and glad I did get out there and do some RV research, of both the rigs and the lifestyle. I'm quite set that this is the way I want to go, and it looks as if it could be time to get that RV, or at least put out feelers for one.
The final stages of settling the house with my ex is underway, so it will be weeks, or months, but it will happen. I need to sell the house to have the cash, but then I should be able to just write the check for the full amount for the rv (no mortgage!)
I will be looking for a C class, hopefully diesel. I am looking for used, but in excellent condition, decent fuel economy. I am quite content to sleep over the cab, there is just me and the dogs and we fit in a small space. I'm always attracted to lofts. I don't need the master bedroom, formal living thing. I'm a crafter, and want to use all available space for that. Dinette for eating, crafting, storage space is important since I'll be full time living in the RV. I do like to cook.
My plans are to be boondocking much of the time, so generators, batteries, things that will keep me going for a few days will be important. Insulation and heating are also important.
I hear back from the dealerships I've visited, but I don't know if they heard me. Last week I was contacted about a very expensive B+ with no eating, sitting area, and more expense in the paint job than I want to pay for. They sent pictures of a queen sized bed, but never mentioned the engine, tank sizes or anything of a technical nature that would be of concern or interest for me.
So I've decided on the class that would suit me best, and am now starting looking for "the one." Maybe someone is planning to swap or move up in the next year or so? Or you might have ideas on the best places to put out feelers for what's going to be the most important purchase of my new life.
