I swear I posted to this earlier but it must have gone poof. I'm so happy your maiden voyage went well and that you had a perfect friend to travel along with you. He was cute, he cooked and had a sense of humor, hummm do you think he might be ready for another trip
I've been to the Central Dairy in Jefferson City but it was about 25 years ago, glad to hear it is still there. I would make the trip again just to go there, the ice cream was sooo good !!!

You sure took me down memory lane. I, too, enjoy Jefferson City. And what I think you'll find during your travels, if you stop and look, is that there are many, many of these jewels throughout our country. I continually am amazed by them. (I also have taken the Maker's Mark tour - enjoyed it - and I don't drink bourbon, either.)

Thanks everyone for your comments. Yes, Collin was the perfect travel partner. We do plan on another trip but I doubt if it will be before next year. He did call his Mom and told her he was sending me up there and she was to show me around. I will be doing that at the end of the month. He won't be with me.
This was the best first trip even though I was upset at first because I wanted to go to the GTG. I look forward to going back to Jefferson City again, I have received text from people that I met there inviting me back.
Glad you enjoyed the journey.

Remember most of us reserve the right to make our own plans in jello and change them when the time is right!

What a cool first trip! What make/model is your rig? It's beautiful! You have probably posted pictures of her interior somewhere on this site before but being a newbie, I'm not quite sure where to find them. Speaking of being a newbie, I hope you don't mind that my sign-in name is "roadweaver2." Though I am "craft illiterate," I thought roadweaver was a great name for me as I plan to weave the roads I've only dreamt about into my reality with my first ever RV/trailer (after my arm heals
).
I hope your 2nd trip and every one after is filled with adventure and fun!
Carol
