Exceptional Help for Repairs in Vegas

What a few days we have had – one of those best laid plans things. We stayed our 14 days in the 1000Trails park. Made appointment to take RV in and get the fluids and filters changed at mechanic right next to park. After that we would put RV in RV dealer to get refrig checked out again and to get problem with furnace fixed – also check out the King Dome (satellite) as it didn’t want to work.
Any way – the mechanic was only ½ block from park. Wondered why Bill was driving so slow – but figured it was cause the engine was cold. We went to breakfast while work was done. No problem. Then to RV dealer about 1 ½ miles away – again Bill drove very slow – down one of the busiest highways in Vegas! When we got there he told me there was something wrong – the engine wasn’t getting any fuel. Told the dealer people. Okay – they’d check it. We arranged to spend night in hotel. And were lucky to find room as the National Finals Rodeo started that day for 10 days. Every cowboy in the west is in town. Next morning (today) we went to see RV – hummm they can’t fix fuel problem, but yes there was one. Before going on any further I have to say everyone we dealt with today was exceptionally helpful – above and beyond anything we expected. The RV place said we’d probably have to go to Freightliner – clear across town at 16 miles an hour – But then the office manager said he knew a guy that used to work for freightliner and he’d give him a call to see if he‘d come over to look at it. We went and ran errands and got a call from RV. If we could pick up the RV and take it to other shop the guy there could fix it. Luckily it was only three miles away. Come to find out we dealt with him when he was at Freightliner and he and Bill remembered each other. He checked filter, yep and sent his driver to Freightliner to get a new one. That didn’t solve problem, it was probably a sensor but his computer didn’t have the right program on it to check so he called a friend who came from another shop and ran the check. Yep – need a new sensor. Put it in and all was fixed. By now 6:30 at night. And they apologized to us for taking so long…..we should have apologized to them for keeping them so late. Love these guys to death!
Mobil Auto Repair Center on Boulder Hwy LV, NV first mechanic
Johnnie Walker RV on Boulder Hwy – RV dealer – manager name Ed.
Auto Safety House On Palm St LV – fixed fuel filter
Taylor Truck & Trailer Inc LV,NV guy with computer program all highly recommended to any one.
So any way we are staying in Sam’s Town RV park tonight and tomorrow – then off and running again.

I love that they all worked together to help you. That's great. And I like even more that they got it fixed and you are back in your rv. I would have spent the night in my rv at the dealership, though :)

Isn't it great when people actually care about the customer? What a nice ending to your tale, Carol. I'm sorry that it happened in the first place, but if it was going to be, it is great that you had excellent help! Whew!

thats great, nice to know some places still care about their customers. We have an
Auto Safety House here in Phoenix too, in fact we send our buses to them for certain
repairs.

Great that you were able to get it all fixed. Good to know that there are still helpful workers out there. Will put them down on my "if" list. carold

Sorry for all your troubles, but it's nice people were so helpful. I've had pretty good luck with repairs while on the road too...people willing to do the work right away while I waited (with pets), and once fixed a tire with no charge. Reassuring that not everyone is trying to rip customers off.

I read so much grousing about repair shops and dealers on other forums ... so nice to hear good reports. Thanks for sharing that ... and I'm glad it's all fixed and you're back in your rig and on the road.
