weather can change fast and SOMETIMES snow melts quickly, BUT I won't make any bets on that much being gone. Drive carefully Beth !!!!

First you have to get over the pass, right? Thinking there may be a shovel in your future.....Good boots can make a big difference.

do you have to be in Valdez by a certain date? Hope you don't get more snow.

Oh wow...Looking at all that snow from a south-texas perspective, it seems impossible, a little hard to grasp. Safe travels Beth. I hope you packed your winter coat.

all I can say is wow what a lot of shoveling that is going to take!
my cousin and her daughter are here till tomorrow from AK they aren't looking forward to
going to the cold again

Remember, when I left Valdez in Sept, there were still plowed piles of snow around town from the previous winter. Snow happens lol. But they shouldn't be getting anymore. Hopefully. Just need to get that snow cleared away.

Tina, the person who took that pic drove the pass to get to Valdez. If it's like last year when I drove the pass, the snowbanks will be way, way tall - couple stories or more lol. Remember, I couldn't do most of the trails cuz they still were covered in snow. Course I bought rain boots last year, so will be more adventurous this year.

Still planning to arrive there this coming Monday. Will call Fred and Megan after I get into Alaska and confirm. They'll be there anytime now possibly are now (taking the boat from Seattle/Port Angeles).

Oh my! Will be fun to see what happens!
