Great posts Beth. I remember alot of that from when Laura and I were there....but we only touched on a small part of DV. I did love the Artists drive too. We did it twice we liked it so well.

awesome posts Beth, thank you. I remember parts of DV as I went through there with my grandmother when I was 10.
I remember Furnace Creek, and a place called Stovepipe wells? We did the Scottys castle tour, it was so cool inside and
just what you would imagine a castle would look like on the inside, thats the way it was. Also remember passing through
an area that looked like boulders for miles and miles. I'm thinking thats the area you said was called Devils golf course?
I don't know, I just remember all those boulders. I also remember Ubehebe crater, and do agree, its a funny name and
rolls off the tongue very nicely. :D

Thanks for the glimpses of the Valley.......I loved the colors and look forward to seeing it in person. Now to figure out how to get on the busy schedule of that tour guide that is so knowledgeable about the area..... :) I probably can't afford her prices. 8-)

Thanks, Beth. It is so late I only got thru one of the entries but will come back to admire the rest before week is over.
I remember seeing a special on TV that included Scotty's castle, very interesting story. The crater is a beauty.

What an amazing experience! I can't wait to show your posts to mom and Bryan... when they wake up that is. ;) Great posts! Beautiful pictures!

You've got me wanting to see DV and it wasn't even on my radar. The dry waterfall picture just had me entranced. Amazing! The world has so much to see in so many forms. I need to convince the hubby we need to hit the road now! I don't want to wait to retire. Phewy on that!

Quick aside on DV, one of Bryan's former co-workers was/is a big runner and had done the DV race a couple of times. He said it was the most intense thing he'd ever done. I can believe it!

Great photos of DV. I know I was there as a kid, but don't remember much. Now, I really want to see it. I like the desert during the winter. :P

OMG Beth, I didn't realize that DV was so beautiful (yes, I love the desert). I really enjoyed your posts but did have a hard time reading the ones with the black background. You know, old eyes, poor eyesight. I would love to see DV one of thse days.

What black background? None should have a black background. Will be on my computer later checking on that.

On edit, hopefully you mean things like Scotty's grave? Can't help that, but do understand. Was hard to read standing in front of it.

Beth, thank you so much for your wonderful pics and great narrative. I'm so thankful for the time we spent touring Death Valley. It was such a blessing to be able to see this wonder and all it has to offer with you. You're right, there's so much to see and I know I'll return in the future to see more.
