checking weather

Postby snowball » Fri Apr 12, 2013 11:33 pm

I know that last fall when I was getting ready to leave for Arizona that I would check the weather on line that gave
information along the travel route including winds Now that I'm getting ready to reverse my travel I can't remember what the
site was went into weather.com but it didn't seem to do what I remember doing last year. Am I remembering the wrong site or have they
changed it and I'm just not getting the information needed or wanted...
Actually did a search but couldn't find anything under whatever the term was that I used...

Don't know if it's what you used but weather underground gives winds on their map. I have WunderMap ap on my IPad. http://www.wunderground.com

Good morning Sheila
Don't know if this will work for you, but I go to Google on my I-phone and type in weather I-95 and it gave me the weather for all the major cities on my way north.
Safe travels and let me know where you are spending the summer. I may very well travel the northern route west this summer and you know I will stop to see you.

I've used both methods, except I don't have an ipad, but I typed it into my google search bar on the computer and got the same results.

Hi all I have weather bug app on my smart phone (Droid) and it is an invaluable tool…esp. when traveling as it fallows me every where I go with all the weather at that location…even has radar…here is an example of how handy it was ….last summer when my brother passed away in July….we were all gathered at the family homestead in PA…I was walking around outside …there was some signs that rain was on the way….anyway …when all of a sudden my phone started squawking like a banshee…You know how the TV does when they do those weather test…so I took a look at it and all over the the front of it was BIG letters…Tornado in you area take cover immediately !!! I ran and yelled at everyone to get in the basement they though I lost my mind and did not want to do it….needless to say they did it anyway and the sky let lose and a tornado came down only 4 miles away….I recommend weather bug app highly!!!! ;) donna
