I had a great time at Cape Disappointment State Park the last week of March and then the first week of April at Grayland Beach State Park.
The dogs and I walked the beach everyday but one when it was raining and windy.

We came across this sea monster that was on the beach at Cape D but it turned out to be friendlier than it looked.

Met up with friends Gene, Linda and their Lab Nita, and shared a glass of my homemade wine.

Looks like a good time, Marda----monster and all! My birthdaughter lives out in Oregon, so some day I hope to get back there for a visit and explore some of those neat Pacific Coast campgrounds again. I haven't been there since 1965! Thanks for those neat pics!

These are Washington State Parks. Cape Disappointment is just above the mouth of the Columbia River. There are two lighthouses to visit.
Grayland Beach is just south of Westport.
Realized I have yet to try the more northerly campgrounds so have reserved a site at Ocean City State Park (which is a bit north of Aberdeen, WA) for mid-June. Looks like a good Park.
