Oh, Friday night, I remember when that meant going out either on a hot date or with girlfriends to paint the town red, now days, it means prop the sore feet up, be thankful I got the yard mowed and try not to fall asleep before the news  Top of the night out there everyone, think I'll just sit a spell and relax these old bones.

That's soooo true. Remember just getting in the shower around 9:00 PM to get ready to go out Friday??? Get home somewhere between 2:00 and 6:00, after having consumed a REALLY greasy (albeit delicious, if you listened to your alcohol soaked and smoke filled brain) breakfast at some all night chain restaurant...sleep until noon (or later) Saturday morning. Husband all pissed off that you were out so late...ah, the good old days!

9:00 PM these days, PJs are on and I've already entered the Quiet-Time Zone, and quickly making my way to the Land of Nod! No more smokin'. Very little drinkin', and an occasional evening cup of decaf coffee...ah, the life of the Just-Passed-Middle-Aged Woman...

Now Mitch, I was talking about BEFORE the Hubbies came along, NOT AFTER!   I can't imagine Hubby going along with the hot date thing and coming in at 6 am :o

It isn't as pretty as the one that started this thread but it was mine this weekend. We had a campfire at the kayaking camping trip in NC, sat around and talked, etc. My first one in 4 years of having a MH. Am going to post more general pictures over on the other thread but the fire goes here in respect for the campfire flame that keeps us inspired and warm in spirit....

Haven't taken any pictures of the last modifications on the short bus but will try to do that this week! I love increased space on the floor and that the space can be utilized in different ways depending upon where I am going and which dogs are traveling with me. One more day at work and the project should be wrapped up. Then I can play catch up on all the stuff I have allowed to slide these past weeks.

Take care, be well and enjoy all your campfires!

It was only 48 here yesterday morning, early, so the fire sure did feel good! I put some more dry firewood under the tarp to be sure there is enough to keep 'er going! I will be checking in for some warmth off and on all summer, it seems, as our summer weather is more like late fall and very early spring----plus tons of rain!

Been so much rain, the fire has been going out. Guess I'll take a beer off the wall, wouldn't even think of how many is left and thank goodness Lori keeps up with that. I'm not a numbers person! Got a new campfire grill and anxious to use it if the dang rain would stop. Maybe this weekend.

I will join you, also, and will need to throw a ton of dry wood and kindling on it to keep it going through the rainstorm that just blew up here.....DANG! Will it ever stop????

Maybe I can stand a beer this afternoon----it's been over a week since I have even been able to THINK about any alcoholic beverages! Guess I'll give it a try! Cruppers Up!
