All of you who start out with everything everywhere, I'm a member of that club too this year especially. I still have cabinets etc, not sure what's in them. Except for two CG stays I've been camping in driveways and using only as bedroom that means messy, one driveway is only parking . Not enjoying too much. Time for some campground stays in my own home !!! Still have dr visits, needed to wait until after 1st of year , so can't just take off and do as I'd like. I'm feeling so restricted past couple of years and NOT liking at all. Something has got to give !!! And hopefully it's not me !!

So you gals who feel so unorganized there are more of us

Sarah, once you get headed south you'll be ok !! Keep telling yourself that . You're a good driver and you handle Magic well !! There is a good reason I sold my car, other then I can't drive two vehicles and have no desire to tow, leaving one setting all the time caused extra work and thought. Having only the RV, I drive it all the time, so when a trip comes up I don't have to adjust me and dread trip. Driving my small car for this length of time I've had to set past couple of years and my age, I doubt I'd be ready for a trip at all. I noticed this anxiety load left me first year after selling car and all I drove was RV, I only get anxious about leaving something important, like meds now !! The rest I do without and there are several items on the forgotten list this year   You just need to get your butt down here Sarah !!!

Building a new fire. . . the old fire has been out for a while, and we sure can use the warmth here in Chitown. Waiting for the stories from Q, FL and where ever else GTGs may be, spur of the moment or months in planning. Barbie getting excited to get back in CA~good for you! Mickie & Mary are getting the bug to buy soon, how fun that will be. Can't remember everything else going on except Ava is on the final retirement countdown ~~~ I think there is going to be a party at Q for celebration!

Hit a dealer looking at TT's again today with BIL. Think I've found 'the one'. The have a used in the floorplan I like, same year as Colt and same mfgr. Can't believe what a difference 3' make! I'll see the same salesman that I brought Colt from next week at the Schaumburg show, and if I miss him there, will see him again at the big show at Rosemont. Debating on 2 yr old vs new, and yes, I could buy an extended warranty, but I'm still liking the idea of new for a couple reasons, including the brighter color scheme on 'decor', unknown hidden problems with used, etc. We'll see. So Mickie - wanna buy mine? lol

Found an RV park that I'm thinking about that has monthly rates. Thinking about that too since I can't take vaycay in the summer time, but it would give me an option to just go, plus I could actually stay there during the week, because the commute to work would be the same time was as from home. Planning on calling there this week to see if they'll answer the phone and give me some more info.

Stay warm if you're in the cold & snow, have fun at the GTGs and let's start planning this summer!

it would be so nice to jump into that hot tube..can we pull it up closer to the fire though??? love a good campfire
am sitting it out in Vegas was going to be a weekend visit then on my way back to Q. got word earlier in the week that
my sister was in the hospital...she has had two knee replacements on the same knee...and that is the one that is infected...
don't know yet what they will decide to do pretty much depends upon where the infection is if it's in the bone might have to
take out the fake knee and put in a spacer this would be in place for 3 months until the infection is gone..it seems like someone
on here's husband had this done ....I just remembered now who ..Chris or Red whichever you might know her by....been gnawing at
me every since the dr told us this might be one of the cures...the other less invasive if it's in the tissue surrounding the knee....but
I don't remember what it might be possibly cleaning out the area...her husband is in a stage of either Alzheimer's or the other..
so Tues is scheduled for a CT scan and her son has back issues...so think I will remain here till Sat. by then we will know more...I hope
on all front's but she does know that I need to go "home " one day so tired of not being there... and even if I go home I can return
in a few hours think it's about 4 by the time I manage to find her house...so need a new GPS
I wish I was happy about being here...part of me is being oh so selfish ....and part of me is glad that I am able to help
so that is my story now back to the campfire and perhaps hot chocolate always tastes good
think I saw some whipped cream in frig need to see if it's good

Yes, Shiela, it was Chris' husband that had to have his knee replacement removed and a spacer put in. They were finally able to get rid of the infection and put a new replacement but it seems like it was a several year ordeal. I sure hope you sister doesn't have to go through that.

If you have one of the phones that can get internet you can get directions on it. I have only used it to find stores or restaurants a couple of times. My son and a friend use it like a GPS. My friend says it is more up to date than a GPS. I don't know if there is an app that you have to get but a 10 year old could probably tell you how to do it.

A lot of people use their phones for GPS. The apps stay up-to-date. I know you can get directions on Google maps, but not sure if it 'talks' or not. I stick to GPS units because you don't get charged with data limits (but you can download directions on phone apps too).

Long time since anyone has been around the campfire. I thought I'd take advantage of our hot tub. Maybe it'll awaken some brain cells.

I headed out this afternoon to run some errands. Number one on the list was a stop at the library to do some data heavy work there on my computer. Half way there I realized I didn't bring my computer. I came home... Will try again Thursday LOL

Got my new schedule today. Another day was added in the office... No problem.

Boy, that hot tub idea sure sounds appealing in this Wisconsin winter! Heading down to Florida soon for the Hillsborough GTG. Ready for warm temps & no need for boots & mittens.

scoot over and I will join in with you both...can't believe the difference between last week and this week...it warmed up enough the jacket came off
the sweater under the jacket came off and that left the short sleeve shirt...now in Jammies and it is starting to cool down enough that
I believe I will need to turn the fire place up...but still no jacket (it's in the truck  ) started another Swedish Weave hadn't done enough on it
while any were here that I really didn't show it but think I am going to like it...decided to make some for the siblings have two made not finished though need
to do the finishing work so want to get this one done so I can get a refresher course in how to finish it the one that isn't done was giving me fits...
then I need to decide on a pattern for my sister no clue what she would like best
you all have a good night

Gonna have to google Swedish weave cause my brain
is drawing a blank on that one.
I too like the hot tub idea, a good soak would certainly
feel good.

What a great group! And I know you left with bellies full before you even mentioned it!

I almost bought a GPS, when someone told me how well Google maps works. So I tried it. Get the app from google, tap search then the microphone, tell it where you want to go and it will show a map as well as give verbal instructions. You can add stops and if you do make a wrong turn, it will redirect to the right route. I love it. Want to find a place to eat or shop on the way, just ask. Like my own personal escort in the sky-Oh my!

You may already know this, but Google maps is just driving directions. You may still need a GPS for RVs, which will warn you about narrow lanes, low bridges, etc. But what do I know?! I'm only going into year 3 of RVing. ;)

I don't have and have never felt the need for a GPS specific for rv's. I do believe in doing due diligence and having any GPS go the way I want.
