according to the shop looks like I can plan on towing the 5th wheel...here is hoping I think once you have issues
you start worrying ...so here I am worrying...one of those times when I wish that I was traveling with someone...like my
nephew could just tag a long with me (he is the owner of the shop that the truck is at) had to have the dimmer switch
replaced...dang but it's not one of those things one should ignore

Ladies, what is that website or app that you can actually see campsites on? I've looked here for it because I remember someone mentioned it, but can't seem to find anything.

I use Allstays. You can pick the satellite mod instead of the map and it will show you what the camp area looks like. a huge parking lot or a forest and a lake.......or an industrial park......you get the idea..... :)

Did a two-day driving marathon and arrived in Ohio late this afternoon--290 miles each day. The first day in Connecticut was horrible because of accidents and road construction. The second day driving through PA, it rained almost all day, mostly hard.

I could have spent three more nights coming back, but was just tired of traveling and wanted to sit somewhere for a while. I could not find a campground I liked that was open enough for satellite, so figured I might just as well get back to the state park near my son's house where I usually stay. I also was originally going to stop at Gettysburg, but decided I was tired of walking and touring, so I could do that another time. I am here for 10 days and then in the Detroit area for another 5 days, before I head west to California, the slow way!

Feels good to sit. I have some errands to run, but might wait until Thursday. I have a cheap weekly rental starting Friday afternoon, so it will be nice to use to pick up kids and go places.

Talk about great luck. The storms stopped long enough for me to unhook, then gentle rains only started for the drive into Rapid the Ford's truck service there. I walked Peaches there (nice little path by where folks have what looks like designated areas for gardens) and got back inside before rains came again. Oil changed, full inspection done, nothing else recommended at this time (thought they'd want to rotate tires, but nope, not needed.) I'm parked in a spot right behind the store for the weekend. Quickly hooked up cable, but either I didn't get the connection good, or it isn't working to here - just stored my tv. One less thing to do later :) So nice to know I can hook the car up in place - when it's NOT raining at some point on Sunday, so that I won't have to worry about doing that in the rain. And this site is level - so all my levelers will be put away. Yep, lazy me.

Sounds like you're ready to hit the road, Beth!

Just went and ran some seafoam through the gas tank, fueled up, and ran the generator for a while. Drove around a bit and left it locked but running while I went in to get some wine. This is fun!!

Hi Velda, it's a gas treatment and stabilizer: http://www.walmart.com/ip/16664932?wmls ... 08&veh=sem

I've used it forever, it keeps carburetors and fuel injectors clean and functioning better.
