Will sit for just a minute. I actually have to set the alarm to get up tomorrow, it is back to work for me. It is a seasonal position, seven hours a day working on computors. Best part (besides getting paid, which will help pay down my last big bill that stands between me and a monthly travel/gas $$$ budget :)) is that I can wear jeans and comfortable shoes. Our job is to sit all day and evaluate answers on proficiency test results. Everything has been scanned on to the computers. They train us through the acceptable rubric and off we go. The dogs will not appreciate being left to their own devices but I do have a friend coming in the middle of the day to let them all out to stretch their legs and potty, check on the babies and give Blondie an extra mid-day meal. She is an eating machine right now. Sigh, off to the showers. Hope I can get to sleep tonight, it is just do inconsistent, that shut eye stuff. I don't function well without sleep....arrrgh. Here is to getting some extra cash, paying off the bills and hope by fall I can help stimulate the economy with some travel.....in the meantime keep giving me those reviews of places you visit....and the list of driveways I can park in.....

I'm in NW TN and have a 2nd drive, with water, 30A, and sewer...2 stocked ponds, pool, and 4-wheelin'...so, Fernie, if it's not out of your way, you're welcome to stop by for however long you want/need. Any and all sisters also Welcome whenever. My little rottweiler LOVES company! I just realized we need to work on getting satellite tv over there, too. Great project if it EVER stops raining! Well, didn't rain today. Pretty, but cold.

Survived the first day back to work. Also, found out that I can pick up additional hours if I want to work Sats. The scheduled work week is 35 hours M-F and if you want to work a 40 hours week M-F you can earn and additional $50. So.....if I want to suck it up for a few weeks I can make it too my goals faster. The older pups have lived through me working before. They won't like it but they will survived. With a large fenced yard to enjoy on sunny days when they do get out, they will at least be able to chase each other! The fire feels very nice at the moment and I will just catch my breath before I head out to the grocery to pick up some lunch supplies for packing.....It sure is nice to know the campfire is here when you need it! Having the wood stacked near by helps us on those days when we are too tired to go hunt up wood on our own. Need to get some pics of the new pups at 1 week.....

This is a good day/evening for the fire! I've been chilled most of the day. Was out in the yard for about an hour or so and that did it. Gonna warm by the fire now!! Michelle, I wondered where your home was, but was lazy and hadn't looked on the map. Thanks for your red dot!! Saw the picture on your blog....from afar and from above, or however you put it. My goodness, you two are really isolated!! So much so that one could run "nekkid" and no one to see!! Ok, I'm not going to take a beer so the count remains as was!

I'm a little disappointed we're not far enough or covered enough with trees so we could run nekkid! Not that we would do it (too old anymore...did it in our younger days and when we were sailing - boat crews are mostly pretty Laissez-faire) The most we've done is nekkid in the pool...man, that can make ya feel like you're 20 again - fat floats and the 'girls' were perky once again!!! (learned that fat floats in scuba class and now I know for a fact it's true!! Well, I really knew way back then because I've always had to use more lead in my weightbelt than my skinny little hubby when we went diving...oi - the joys of womanhood! )

So, now that you know where the dot is, come on over for a visit if you ever find the time...take a break, relax for a couple of days...

Say, is there any wine stashed around the campfire? :D

I'm just gonna sit here quietly and enjoy the fire. Nice company and good wine.
Will say a little prayer to ease my stress and the stress of others.

Ava, hope the prayer, comfort of the fire, and wine combined helped your stress and that the situation that is causing you stress has gone away.
Thanks for the prayers for our stress.

God Bless,

Palm fronds for the fire from Dillon, SC here!!

Seems good to have it warm enough to not NEED the fire---just appreciate it for the ambience!

I am sipping my Michelob Ultra from the little hole-in-the-wall grocery shop next door to the hotel room we are overnighting in. Sure tastes good!

Hope you all have a fun time around the fire!

Happy travels!

Another evening. It is so nice to have a nice campfire. I'll sit far enough away to keep working on the computer while the light is still good. I put some cedar on so it smells wonderful. I will need to bring my own wine next time. No. I did not make off with the bottle as apparently some sisters are being accused off :) but, yes, I helped myself to a glass. I will have to wait until I make it to the right gtg in order to earn my flamingo glass. The wine is still fine..... Hope Echo stops by to rest for a moment....to catch her breath.
