More than likely 'splice' is the wrong word to use.

Dawn said that when the gas company installed the big tank that they cut the gas line and regulator off to hook the TT up to the bigger tank. So I will need to put the line back together and a regulator to hook back into the RV tanks.

That sounds right as to what they did, Echo. Paul can tell you more. I was not there. Going by what he said. He was put on the residential tank not too long after he was set up out here.

Talked to 'Lill'. the woman that I went thru orientation with, she lives here in the park and we both work at Dollywood. She sent a couple over to look at our TT. I told them everything I knew about the TT and what needed to be fixed.

To be honest? I didn't really think that they were all that interested in the TT. But she said yesterday that she stopped by the other CG and that they told her that they were really interested in getting the TT!!! YAY!!! I am so STOKED! Lill said that they are gonna talk to the CG manager here and see what it will cost them to leave it parked here. They want to work on it before they move in. The woman, 'Pauline' fell in love with the large closet! ;) Lill said that they think it's a perfect size for them and that they were amazed that even with what doesn't work that it is in such good shape!! Once they get a new toilet they really will be good to go for living in here. The toilet is useable but just doesn't have water running in here to flush it. We keep a water jug in the B-room for that! She also likes all the storage cabinets that are in here. This TT would work good for a couple or for one person. With Kelly and I, as 2 separate people with separate stuff it's like a sardine can!

OMG!! I am most likely gonna go out of my mind waiting for the end of July and getting the Cameo!!

Echo, I am so tickled for you! I got good news today too. Matt came by to let me know that in about 2 weeks he will be leaving town for 3 weeks. Said banker and title company were still working on the contract. He said before he left, he wanted to bring me enough Ernest money before he went out of town that I can go get my motorhome.Told me that he wanted to see me excited about something again. I told him you were coming after the Cameo by the end of July. Maybe I will have the MH when you get here and we can stay in it. Told Mom tonight that when I get it, I am going to hook it up and move in. Then I can make sure everything is working and decide what will be going with us. Not sure what all I am going to need for sure yet. You and I can put in some Chick flics and just chill. You would be the first person staying in it besides me. I think we would have a lot of fun! Our own little gtg.

Paul is in the process of moving out of your Cameo. He's been loading boxes and storing them up at Mom's. She said he has already moved his shaving stuff up there but he hasn't moved in with her yet. As soon as he does, I can get to work making sure it's ready for you.

WOOHOO!!! Dawn that news is over the top! Hot diggity dog, I am so freaking excited for you that you can go get your MH!!! Oh wow you have got to have the shakes from excitement!!! I hope that you do have it when I get out there so that I can check it all out. I promise not to drool all over everything!! I'll have to bring a roll of paper towels with me!  I so want to head that way today!!! I really need to work on control here! ;)

Sheila, it's not that the water wont stay in the bowl. It does and that could be a huge problem and mess if we had the water turned on. What happens when we turn the water on is that the valve in the toilet is shot and the water just keeps running into the bowl. Have looked up the TT and the toilet that's in here and it's the original toilet. I don't even know if Thetford makes that valve anymore.I know for sure that they no longer make that particular model toilet anymore. I've contacted 3 different RV toilet repairs guys and they all recommended that I totally change out the toilet. One of them said that Thetford doesn't carry the valve anymore, one said he didn't know if they carried that valve and the other said that "maybe" he could find a valve that would work for me. So I figure that it's just best to change the toilet. The one I looked at that would fit was either $160 or $180 can't really remember.

Heck Echo, I am going to have to have a roll of paper towels for me. I'll share with you

Saw today that the 2012 coach I wanted has been sold. Now they have the 2013 one and it's $10,000 more. Really refiguring and gonna have a friend go with me. He's really good at dealing for RV's. He and his wife have already called me to make me promise not to do this on my own. He will drive down from Oklahoma, get me, help me make the deal and then help me get the 5er and 1 ton there. What would we do without friends in this world. I was figuring on the extra $10,000 going into the in motion slim line satellite antenna I want, the dolly and braking system to tow Mom's car and some other things I wanted to get right away. If I can't bring myself to go ahead and take that out of checking, that is going to have to wait till I get the full payment for the place. I'm really leery of pulling that much out of the bank. It will sure make a dent that scares me. That's an awful lot of money to me. I have no other income for a couple more years until I can start getting widow support from Chuck's SS. I have enough to live on for year, if I'm really careful. Then was going to live on the proceeds from the sale for the other year after buying the motorhome. Did not want to take much from the leftover proceeds since you never know what's down the road. Sure hope I can make a deal where I can go with my original numbers.

I know this probably sounds really whiney to you, but I promised Chuck I would not go back to work if there was any way possible. For about 20 years I worked about 10 or more hours a day and was on call 24/7 so ended up working at least part of every weekend. He wanted me to be able to just travel and enjoy life. I sure will have to be really careful to do it, but I intend to try. Figure I can workkamp along the way, if I need to.

Thanks for listening to me. Using you for a sounding board, my friend.

HA!!! Was gonna suggest workamping. Or maybe temp agency's if need be, I've thought about them. If you are settled in one spot for a couple months at a time you should be able to get a kamper job and get your site free. That's what we are doing here. If it wasn't for Kelly working for the campground where we are living we would be totally sunk!!! She cleans the bathrooms, rec room, laundry room and whatever cabins that have check outs and we get the site free and plus as long as she is working 6 days a week she also lucked out and is getting paid $50 a week tho no one knows about that other than us, the manager and owner!!! ??? And now all the Sistahs! ;) The cleaning usually takes her an hour and a half. If by some chance all 5 cabins have been rented out and they all check out at the same time it will take her maybe an hour longer. The cabins are really simple to do. Sweep the floors and porch and clean the bathrooms. Check the windows and do touch ups. Some of the workamper job listings I've seen are for as low at 20 or less hours for a free site. They hire for more than just cleaning bathrooms too. Office, mowing etc.

If you push hard the dealer could probably find you a 2012 model like you wanted. He for sure isn't gonna want to lose that sale!!! He will go above and beyond to keep you buying there. You could try googling that year and model to see where another one is located and when you find it? Let him know about it and that you WANT THAT ONE! I would be willing to bet that he will work with you. He will probably move heaven and earth to get it for you or come WAY down on the price of the 2013 model. So make sure you push really, really hard.

And I don't think that your being whiny! ;) You want what you want and at the price that you saw!!! That's not being whiny, that's being a good shopper!!! :D

You are right about Googling. I was going to do that. Would be worth a drive if I can get that model at the same price I was looking at before. I like the idea of the dealer finding one for me too. You are right about pushing hard. Chuck taught me how to deal for a car years ago and I got pretty good at it too. When I got our Escalade, the window sticker was over $79,000 and I paid $48,000 for it. I dealt for our last 5th wheel. I got it for $10,000 less than what that year and model was selling for then. The MH intimidates me a little, though, because have never had a MH before. I do know how to stand firm on a price though. If I cannot get it, I may have to get another model, but I sure don't want to. I found a great looking Tiffen Alegro for Paul today for $19,000. Mom and I really like the looks of it. I think he would too. Will show him tomorrow after Sabbath. Don't know how to spell the Jewish name for it. It has a combination washer/dryer. We love that! Mom and I won't have one.

Super! Dealing for the MH should be the same as dealing for a car or SUV. MH or not it's still a vehicle. Stand firm on your price.

Kool on finding Paul a nice unit!! Washer and dryer would be great! For me it would work out good as I do my laundry in cold water anyway. Figure if ya need hot water for something laundry wise you can always hit the Laundromat.

As for the dealer finding one for you? He should be able to wheel and deal with another dealer and get it a whole lot cheaper than what you could get it for. He would buy it from the other dealer and then resell it to you.

Thanks Echo. I am definitely going to really work at it.

Yup, poor Paul. We at least didn't go with the one with lavender interior colors.  I think Mom and I are doing a good job of finding him a unit. I like the class A better than the C's. I can sure get him more room for the same money. About the same lengths too. Big sis is taking charge

Lavender??? Good grief! You would probably get shot!

Which would he prefer? A class C or an A? I kinda like the C's over the A's.

  I am going to show him to see the reaction to the lavender.

I don't know if he has a preference. I will find out when I show him what I found in both. I think he is good with either. I am working on getting him the most for what Mom can afford. He hates it that he doesn't have any income since he has been disabled. Him getting disability looks pretty good, I think.

Good deal on him getting disability!! At least that way he will have a guaranteed income every month. That's way, way better than wondering where your gonna find the money to live on.

I would be interested in seeing the reaction to the lavender too!
