No, homesick for Fl. Lived there for 50 years and thought I was done with it, grew just too much. But there are still lovely places and this past winter, realized, there was quite a lot I had missed.

Yes, we have white water rafting here, not 10 miles from me. Where the 96 Olympics were. Tubing and rafting is a big deal up here. Come try it sometime.
I've enjoyed the conversations , on this thread, learned some new things. :)

I can see why you miss it, but NC is beautiful! It's not overcrowded where I am in FL, but most of the winter I was. I prefer the smaller towns, with countryside for motorcycling, walking, or whatever...without the stress! So, are you talking about the Ocoee River? My brother wants to go white water rafting with me there sometime. He said I would love it ;) He's the one I will be stopping to see in Clarksville, TN on the way to IA the first week of April. Now that I know you are so close, will have to plan a GTG when I go white water rafting :D I have been enjoying this thread, too!
Linda, Rags, and Brutus full-timing it in our 2017 Winnebago Micro Mini, Thumbelina.
