Beautiful countryside today but no photos - think I knew I would be too tired tonight to edit and post. 4 of us left Valentine, Nebraska - then one went home - so 3 of us are in Fort Dodge, Iowa. I understand others are joining us tonight.

Sheila, I didn't know about the waterfall, but then again this isn't much of a sightseeing trip unless it's on the backroad we are!

You are moving along so fast. But you are enjoying the fast driving, I know :) ... That said, I bet you'll look forward to getting into a slower mode again and sightseeing, when you get back in the camper.

I haven't looked at the few photos I took today. I'm loving this, but it's pretty frustrating at times. The leader is a nice guy, but he makes us crazy - his driving isn't the best either. Tomorrow will be his last day because he will go on ahead to NY to organize things there. Glad to have a little time off today. 2 of us rode from Fort Dodge to Davenport, IA. The two Slings (a family) that joined us last night had their own agenda and are coming separately. The Father-Son team left for home this morning. We were behind one storm and ahead of another. Being behind one, we hit wet roads so had to slow it down. Lots of spray and a little rain, but not major. One of the vendors is here and did an oil change for me. Laundry is going now.

People came today - some going with us and some just to visit. Needed boots out in the parking lot because of all the BS. Sure not the great group we started with - how I miss them!!

Venting over.

Saturday - no hurry and one hour rain delay. Stopped for coffee break, 2 new Slings with us, took our time planning to stop a little later for lunch. 2 blocks down the street escort vehicle had a flat so waited for that fix. Now we have a 5 hour drive and it's much later plus we are losing an hour. Hit the road and suddenly have lost escort. Empty trailer has gone to the ground for the second time - yes, organizer has trailer like mine on loan!! Got to hotel at 8:30 where several other Slings had come to meet us. Very late pizza delivery. Finally went to my room at 11. So now coffee with a man talking to me while I type. Anyway, all is well and weather is better!

Arrived Lake George NY this afternoon - end of the line. Got a $100 gift certificate for completing the whole ride. About 8000 miles since leaving Virginia.
