Thanks for keeping us posted on Mitch. She's in my thoughts and prayers. I thought they did the pathology while the person was still in surgery. The waiting has to be really hard. I know waiting for the results of Sharon's PET scan was awful.

Wow----thanks to all for the lymph node info I just read you all posted. I feel much more informed now, and, should I ever (Please NO NO NO) should need such an analysis, I will surely make SURE my surgeon can let me know when I wake up whether my nodes have been invaded, or not. If they say they can't do that, I will shop around until I find one who can....or for a hospital prepared for immediate analyses. I never really thought about this before, and hope I never have to, but now I am at least more knowledgeable about such procedures.

Wonderful update that Mitch has been able to get up and about a bit! And it sounds as if she didn't even fall over backwards while compensating for the lack of weight in the front!!! I have my fingers crossed that all the nasty cells were tossed into the red trash bin, and that none are left anywhere to do any more damage. I have a feeling those test results will be good news. In the meantime, Mitch, rest, relax, watch all your fave TV shows, hug Abby, and keep us posted when you can! Sending strength and healing your way big time.

I just talked to Mitch! She's home, in pain, taking pain meds & needs to sleep. I'm sure she'll check in when she's able.

Thank you, Vicki, for keeping us informed. So glad Mitch is home and in her own bed where she may be able to rest more comfortably. It is a blessing Phyllis is with her. Mitch definitely does not need to be alone right now. Will continue to pray for Mitch and her recovery.
