What Barbie said x3 :) I also think the press has a lot to do with the outcome of many political careers/decisions, mostly negative as i tend not to believe a lot of what I read in our newspapers. It is a real eye opener to discuss our politics with someone from another country. They often hear a whole different version of our news.

Ditto on a woman president. There are so many other countries in the world that have had very successful female presidents or prime ministers, I find it very strange that that notion is seen by some in this country as revolutionary!!! Even some muslim countries where women are supposedly suppressed have had women prime ministers. We even have had trouble getting women into the House and especially the Senate.

As most of you have no doubt experienced, I have had SO many people react with amazement that I am living and traveling alone in this huge, monstrous motorhome without a man to help me drive and park it!!! I am told I am incredibly brave to be traveling without a male to protect me. Frankly, it is getting old.

My mantra has always been, if a man can do it, it can't be that hard, so I can do it!

At least we have a female Secretary of State in this country. In a lot of ways, her job is as hard or harder than is the President's.

Would work for me. She is very intelligent and seems to be not afraid to make her thoughts and opinions known. I like knowing what our politicians really think, not just what they think we want to hear. I don't have to agree with them, but want the chance to hear why they think the way they do. Real thoughts, not just sound bites.

Annenberg Political Fact Check: We are a nonpartisan, nonprofit, "consumer advocate" for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. We monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews, and news releases. Our goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding. The Annenberg Political Fact Check is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania.
