HOLY CRAP! what a thought,, both of them in different hospitals! Glad I live in a small town where there is only ONE hospital!

Thank you Barbie, and all you other gals for the sweet encouragement. I keep telling myself I am merely doing what I am duty bound to do.,, honor my father and my mother. But man! It sure gets hard at times. As for someone "spelling" me.. well,, that's just not feasible because of the cost. However,, i take heart in the fact that I CAN leave for a day or 2 as mama can handle daddy pretty well, in short spurts. She is in way better shape than he is,, mentally.. and a little better shape physically. So I don't feel guilty going on weekend getaways..just don't have a camper or access to one, which I would enjoy more. But I am TRYING to be patient in the confident knowledge that it will happen for me some day. If it doesn't,, well then, I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I take pleasure in small things and retreat to my room w/ the door closed for short alone time to just regather my sanity, when I need it. The hardest times are mealtime. For some strange reason, that is the time when daddy and I butt heads the most. I just have to take a deep breath and regroup.

Thanks for a willing "ear" (in print) for me to vent!

In March, I am going to a high school reunion w/ another classmate for 2 nights. Looking f'ward to that! Will be a mini vacation for me. I will call home every day and leave a couple neighbors on call to look in on them. I feel that they will be ok for that short length of time,, and BOY am I READY!
