After I knelt in a fire ant bed planting irises and got bit all over about 20 years ago, if I get a fire ant bite, I just get a little red mark that is gone the next day. Before then, I got the same reaction as Red. Sarah, they might have been fire ant bites. Mom gets the bad blisters too and then she swells where the bites are.
