Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes. We are in CICU. Surgery is going well and the last update, about an hour ago, was that she is off the bypass pump. Mike stayed all night and slept (well tried) on a cot beside her. The weather outside is rainy and ugly. I wish I was down the road a little farther south, say Savannah. Not many people I would delay my warm winter break for. Mike keeps looking out the window and telling me it looks like snow. I really hope the little cool down that we are experiencing is very short lived for as soon as Linda is home and on the mend I intend to head for warmer weather. Been looking at the FL gtg since I'm close to I75. Who knows when or where I'll land.

Beth - thanks for getting my meaning. Not hitting all the keys right today.

I'm glad to hear the surgeries over ... and hope that things continue to progress and she gets home soon.

And, fingers on wrong keys happen to me all the time now - cuz 1/2 or more of my post are from my phone these days using Swype, and boy oh boy can it misunderstand me sometimes. I try to go back and check, but some of the errors are comical. And comedy is always welcome in my world ... makes the worst situations just a tad better.

Had an interesting day today. Have obviously neglected my rv while here in the house helping Mike. Scrubbed bathrooms and did laundry all day yesterday and though I went in and out of the rv but since it was pretty warm yesterday I didn't turn on the heat. While here I park on the only level land - a vacant lot across the street - so I'm not plugged in. This morning I went inside for some things and noticed the fridge was off. In fact, there is no power at all. House batteries are dead. But no time to worry about it as Linda was looking forward to my morning visit.

Found Linda sitting up and with a few less tubes. She is able to walk a little in the hallway with nurse assistance. Still has some swelling to rid herself of which is normal. Doctors talk like she may be coming home 26th or 27th. Mike will be reallllly glad.

Then I left the hospital after Mike got there and took advantage of an unusually warm and sunny day to hike a trail not far from there. It was soooo gooood to be out of the city and out of the hospital. Then, as I was returning home I realized a crown had come off my tooth! Dratt!! I put the crown in an aspirin bottle I had which was empty after I took the one aspirin inside. Wonder how it will be to find a dentist open on Christmas Eve? But I'm really lucky because I have dental insurance, the socket doesn't hurt, and Linda is doing very well.
