Trudy

Those plans sound awesome....I love Florence too, its a great little town.

I have stayed at the Mill Casino in Coos Bay at their RV Park but it was so dang windy there most of the time that it turned me off. It is a nice RV Park tho and yes they have boondocking and it looked nice and level and lots of RV's there.

I dont know what kind of weather Eureka gets as I have only been over there a couple of times....BUT I do remember it was pretty foggy there both times...hoping that isnt how the entire winter goes. I also stayed in Crescent City for 4 months and their weather wasnt that bad during the winter.

Let me know where you land in the month of December, might be able to bop up and see ya

Trudy, you are SO smart to listen to your gut. The truly wonderful thing about living this lifestyle is that we can follow our guts (or our hearts, as the case may be!). Sweet freedom.

I've only walked out on one job, but it was SO sweet ... after the stupidvisor was incredibly rude to me -- he NEVER saw or heard from me again. Phtttt. Gone.

I love reliving that feeling.

Yep Life is too short, follow your gut! When I was working in Home Health/Hospice I transfered to HomeCare in 1999 to avoid a cut back on staff. I soon discovered the HomeCare dept was totally screwed up and NOONE was getting any kind of respect from the Superviser. Sent a grievience letter to the head of the Hosp and not only said what everything was going wrong in the dept I said "I'm outta here!" I also got the Superviser's butt fired!! That will teach ya ! I was older than the Superviser and was not going to put up with her disorganized crap! Everyone else was scared to do anything so I mostly did it for them too so they would not lose their jobs. After awhile the whole dept fell apart and the gals found jobs elsewhere. I was the only one who had the guts to stand up to the supervisor!
One of Melindas X-hubbys came to my yard sale one day and said " So that's what happened to her...she was such a *itch!"

Loved it! I was ready to hit the road every Friday when DH got off work, motorhome was packed and ready . All DH had to do was change his clothes and we were off to a fun adventure. That was the year we went from a 5 week vacation to a 8 week vacation and realized we never wanted to come back home and destined to be Full-Timers.
