$385.00? That IS a lot, just have to kid you. Look back at your post! I was thinking the same thing too, grab the wine away from Nan before she pours it in the tank! Hey, maybe "recipe" would burn? Just a thought. Wendy

This appears to be the sign of the times.

You women inspire me. The gas situation is getting so bad I started to think I was being a fool to even think of buying a rv now and traveling. Something told me to check on here and after reading all your post I know now I am going to buy my rv. If you can do it so can I. I just found a rv I am looking at this weekend. I will learn to boondock and where to go. I have learned so much already from reading your posts. I am reading two blogs also and I so enjoy each day that I get them. I am getting closer to my dream.. Thank you ladies!

You go! We only live once - and we can compromise (like the boondocking which I actually prefer lots now) and cut corners - but I sure won't give up my dreams and this lifestyle I've come to love!

I filled up for $3.439 on Wednesday night. That was regular unleaded at Wally's world. Cheapest on this trip loop.

I hope that I am not a foolish person, but, I may be. I don't expect things to be unreasonable, nor do I expect things to change very much if at all.

Price of gas, airline tickets, campgrounds and hotels always go up during Spring Break, Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and summer vacation. Are you thinking things are going to change this year!! So if you are thinking this is a 'thing' for this year. You need to re-think your thinking. Things ain't changing, they are the same.

Curiosity question here - how many miles per gallon do you all get?

When I took the Mobile Marlin in for new tires (two trips), for 100 miles, I averaged 13.5 mpg. I thought that was good. I was probably 1/3 loaded and relatively level terrain. No wind. Last time I went to Glacier, my friends and I hit headwinds in MN and ND that brought me down to 6 mpg...I hated that bad!

So, what kind of normal mileage?

I get 9-11 pulling my F150. I get 15-17 normally. I did get below 9 last year going to Rockport straight into a 20 mph headwind, but that's not normal for me (and I had that same $@^%&#%&% headwind going home - now how did that happen?!?!!?)
