Nancy, I also feel pride that you trusted us to tell what your going thru. What an awesome goal you are going for. As Liz said you have already taken that first very difficult step. But you know it's in the right direction and I applaud you for it. Strong lady, indeed.

My prayers and all my support are for you on your journey!!! Way to go Lady. ;)

Nancy,

There's not much I can say, cause the others have summed it up pretty good. But I want you to know that you are a very courageous women and very determined to fight this. Thank you for trusting us enough to share it. I will keep you in my prayers and I know you will get through this. The reward on the other end is going to be out and enjoying life again and traveling this beautiful country. You go girl!

Thank each of you for your words of encouragement and support. I have felt your prayers and God has heard them. Today is the first day I awoke to no need for a pill. I haven't experienced a morning like this in many years. Liz mentioned her husband had the spinal stimulator..I too have one. It was implanted in 04 after the second surgery. I believe if I had gotten it before starting the pain meds I could have avoided this agony.
I take other medications for blood pressure, hypo thyroid but I can get three months of them, so I can now actually plan a trip and not work out all the details and perfect timing so I don't miss an appt at the clinic...I have feared many times about missing an appt, then running out of pills..not much of a life!
Thanks again...this is a great forum because of great ladies!

Thinking of you and glad to read your good news that you are doing better this morning. Take good care of yourself while you are doing this, maybe schedule a few relaxing massages.

As the others have all mentioned, Nancy, tackling this overwhelming need for your pills is a HUGE undertaking, and you are to be congratulated over and over! I can't wait to meet you, and now that you are able to travel without panicking, I do believe we will all meet before too long!

Be sure to reward yourself, other than, of course, the wonderful feeling of freedom and lack of severe pain, for your endeavors. As BJ said, perhaps a massage, or whatever makes you feel good will be a reward.

You are doing an amazing job!

Just getting caught up here and wanted to add to what others have said ~ it takes a strong person to share a difficult journey. I too will be keeping you in my prayers as you climb this mountain. I have had my own struggles with some major issues and knowing others are praying helps so much. Thank you for trusting us to share so openly with us. May God Bless you each and every day on this new journey.

ALL RiGGHHHHHTTTTT!!! Sounds like you are on your way. God indeed does listen to prayers. As the others have said, one day and one step at a time. And you are planning a trip now too. Good for you. No, you won't need to panic about running out of the other pills you need to take. You can always get scripts and fill them wherever you are. You will be fine and I know you will work out all the details as time goes on. You go girl!!!

Linda will be in AR in April and there may be a couple of olhers too. They are talking maybe a GTG. Might be a goal for you to attain and go join them for a few days.
