The Widder Douglas Has A Widder Question

You're as normal as any of us...

A saying I always like is "feel the fear and do it anyways!" The first journey out will be the hardest but will get easier after that. Maybe bring along a friend so you have someone (besides Abby) to talk to.

You can do it!

Everybody's said it all so well - but need to add 2 cents worth. Sometimes how we feel has absolutely nothing to do with what we've done previously or our knowledge. And while we might know what we feel "makes no sense" - it does - as you need to reconcile what you need and want at this time in your life. And, to be honest, right now, you really don't want to do anything that G can't do with you - so thinking of it that way, it makes a lot of sense.

So, I'd like to think about it that way, but I, being a Dufus, don't really know what you mean..."don't do anything that G can't do with me?" (he's kinda limited in his activities lately...just sayin'.) :D :?:

Oh, don't take that dufus thing too far; will come back and smack ya, ya know. I might have to start taking sides - with someone named Vickie?

So much good and excellent advice.

I think Pat hit it on the head. You did it all yourself in prepping for the trips, the driving, the setting up and down. But now??? Possibly without you even realizing it, G did his share too in his own way? While he couldn't contribute to the physical things he did to the mental side of it by being company for you. Now that company isn't there.

You are a strong and brave woman, I have no doubt. You will get thru this and roll on down the road to new places and things. And of course to meet up with some of the Sistahs!!!!

Grab Abby and have at it! Even if it's only to go down and bug the he77 out of Vickie!! ;)

That's easier said than done because she's sooooo annoying in her own right.

Sorry - I'm saying - you wish G was still with you to do these things - so you want him with - and that's impossible - so lots of reasons, even not legitimate ones, will creep in as an excuse (basically an excuse for anything). And you are allowed.

Yeah, what all of the gals said. I really really hate to say this...but you're normal in your thoughts. Been there, done that andA wore that t-shirt. I still have those feelings at times, even with 50,000 miles under my butt. As Carol said, you just have to do it. It ain't gonna be easy, but no one ever said that life is easy. And believe it or not, G is gonna be sitting in the co-pilot seat helping you down the road. Just listen....and he'll guide you. Jack almost always lets me know when I'm about to do something stupid...and sometimes he just lets me do it. Probably laughing his butt off at me and wondering what in the world was I thinking??? You'll be fine, my dear, trust me!

Well I can't speak from a Widder Woman perspective but I will say that the "normal" everyone has mentioned applies to us single RVers too. When I'm heading to parts not travelled before I get a little antsy and unsure until, like Carol said, I'm on the road for a few miles. Then things and me settle down to enjoy. Mitch, this is all new for you. One day at a time as Liz said. Big hugs to you and Abby.

You guys are all unbelievably wonderful! How good for the soul you are.
I can do this - how could I fail with you all behind me! (well, most of you, anyway - you know how Vickie is...)

I sure need to thank Beth for founding and running this Forum.

The forum pretty much runs itself - so thank yourselves for that.

 I'm supposed to say thank you - you know I hate when you all do this. Thanks - and I'll keep it going as long as it keeps running itself so well.

Mitch, I think we all at some time or other have been recievers of the Wonderful Sistahs on this forum. Their caring and concern, when we are in need of knowing there is someone out there for us even though we are alone in our homes, we aren't really alone with this forum. When we need, we are sure to recieve here. Thats what really keeps this forum going and the many friendships that have grown have expanded all of our worlds. The friendships we've made have put the desire in so many of us to meet more and more of these special ladies on here. We have GTG's everywhere and so many now proves that fact.

Beth, nothing you can say, will ever take away from the fact, that YOU did put this forum together for us and you watch over it and manage it and We all are the real benefactors of your generousity of your time. No Thank you ever is due from you, some of us who have been pulled out of a really blue day or out of our own thoughts on health issues or other problems could never Thank you enough. This forum has been a blessing for many of us.

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH,
CArol
