I don't mean to scare you, but high blood pressure can cause a stroke or be symptomatic of heart problems. Ending up in a nursing home or in a wheelchair would NOT be bliss.
Most drug stores have a machine to test your blood pressure or the pharmacist will do so if you ask. If it is high, you will need to see a doctor, but many blood pressure medications are relatively inexpensive. For example, one I take costs less than $10 a month. That is cheap compared to the medical costs of a stroke or heart attack.
