Paulette, does it have a traffic thing on it? Like warning you of slow traffic or stopped traffic? I find that useful going thru cities. Does it allow you to add trips from your computer or other data like the Garmin does? Garmin allows you, if you have one with memory, to add things to it. Like I added all the Pilot/Flying J's, all Nat'l parks, TX St pks, rest areas on the I-states, etc. to my other GPS, but haven't yet to the Trucker.

Well, I've only used it the one time to go to Gettysburg and back home so I'm not sure about all of it's features yet. I believe it does have the traffic warnings, and it already has all of the flying j and pilot, etc locations in it. Also all campgrounds, parks, etc. I might get it all figured out on my trip to Texas, maybe. :D

Griffin Technologies makes a stylus that works on the heat sensitive products like the phones and e-readers. I have one that works on my Droid and on my Nook. I got it at Verizon, but Amazon has it much cheaper. I would imagine that Radio Shack carries it, too, as they seem to have a wide variety of stuff for phones.

Char, I emailed you this info.

Thanks Sharon...I did get the email...However, called Verizon & they said it won't work with my Droid X2...Anyhow...I did get the HP laptop tethered with the info. you gave me...shouldn't say I did, cause my daughter did it for me...I am just too stressed out in my mind right now to fool with it, so I told Kathy to & she took care of it for me. Went through the RV again, still can't find why the Micro. & Air aren't working... :x I did drain the water though & put fresh water in & re-filled a lot of the stuff I took out when I stored it last year...what a PITA though...Usually I can just throw fresh clothes in & the food & off I can go...but this time, it's everything...and I'm tired so 'cranky' is a mild form of how I am behaving!!!!! :? Then this guy that's been e-mailing me through the BF club for the past year calls me on my cell phone...(I did figure out how to answer the call... ) and he sounds like he's 100 yrs. old...OMG..I hope when I get to Colorado I don't have to beat him off... Course I've made it quite clear for a long time that I sure as he%# ain't looking for someone...Anyhow...got a call from my GF in Mesquite...wanting to know how everything was going with the packing & the buying & the BS...etc.,etc. Anyhow, she called me on her cell while she was getting gas...next thing I know she's swearing up a blue streak....Why you ask... :?: She had gotten out of the car & left her keys on the seat & the car automatically locks & all the windows are up...and of course the spare key......well, it's in the glove box... :x Talk about an mad Italian...Whoaaaaaaa! I heard words I haven't heard from her anyhow, in a while...
Well, now that I've taken a break, think I'll go back to bringing a few more things into the RV. At this point every little thing makes a difference....Hope everyone is having a more restful Saturday than I am........ :P 8-)

OK, so some of the info I gave you was for the Droid X, not the X2, which is probably why you don't have the same charger I do. Bummer!

Have you made sure the battery isn't in battery disconnect? Not sure that would effect those, but you never know.

Yeah Beth...that was the first thing I checked. When I called the repair shop they asked if I'd checked the switches....I said what switches??? Have absolutely no idea where any switches might be...but I sure as the dickens will find out tomorrow when I take it back. I'll be driving into some pretty hot country & I can't imagine how I'll make it without air conditioning & no way to cook a TV dinner

Open the compartment where the auxiliary battery(ies) are and I'd expect the switch to be in there. Course, with our rv's not everything is as we expect it. :) Good luck!

How about the circuit breaker panel? Do you know where that is? Maybe those are the "switches" the repair shop is referring to. My panel is near my fridge, but I don't have the large fridge you do. Do you have a place in your rig where all of the control stuff is?

Good luck! And your Droid X2 will grow on you. They really are remarkable phones.

Took her in this AM....(I did check the areas you all suggested but could find no problem)...turns out there is a switch on the generator...an on/off switch & it was on 'off'...Asked repair guy how did that happen...He said well....could be an overload trying to use too many things at once.... :? That's interesting...as I just got it & didn't use anything as nothing would turn on.....so it had to happen while they had it in storage.....Am I gonna argue with anyone....hell no....they're the only decent place to go (usually) for RV repair & the storage part is terrific & really reasonable for San Jose.........Anyhow, have another fire to put out so can't say more right now......thought I'd let you know so if someone else has a similar circumstance, they can try this & see if it works for them................. 8-)

So they just weren't working with the generator? That switch shouldn't effect them working when plugged in. I had a repair place running my generator with that switch in off - so I do know about it.

Hope whatever other fires you have are minor and worked out by now.

I just rec'd my GPS for RVers yesterday. Fiddling with it and will probably use it in my sister's car while I'm here just to try it out.

Used my Rand McNally GPS for RVers on my trip home. I really like it. I get speed warnings when my foot gets too heavy and it advised me of posted speed changes. It helped me find a propane dealer in PA on a holiday weekend. Led me to a great campground in VA and a horrible one in GA. It was easy to flip between screens while driving without requiring me to take my eyes off the road. You can set it up to avoid toll roads, dirt roads, etc. Overall, it was a really good addition to my RV.

On my Iphone I downloaded an app for traffic reports called INRIX TRAFFIC. I wish I had it on my way up to NY. There were two- hour long each traffic standstills that I would have liked to avoid.
