WHAT KIND OF RIG DO YOU HAVE?

Well, Mitch may be the runt of the litter, but I think my TT is the runt of the rigs. My Tillie is an '84 Perris Pacer fiberglass egg. She is 13' (yes, including the hitch!),no slides , but she has a dinette, a full sized bed and a full kitchen. She even has AC. Just the right size for me

2007 Tiffin Allegro Bay FrED (front engine Diesel), 35' towing a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. Thought about downsizing till I talked to the salesman. Couldn't wrap my brain around trading mine and still owing him way too much money! Figure I'll keep FrED for a while.

2007 Holiday Rambler Neptune XL 35' Class A, diesel, 2 slides. Only tow occasionally. Have also considered upsizing or downsizing but guess it's just not the time right now. I'm always looking at other/new coaches - it's fun!!

2010 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel, 35 feet (actual 34' 7"), 3 slides. To haul my RV, I have a white 2010 Ford 250 Super Crew Cab diesel truck.

I enjoyed getting to know everyone by their rig. Fun and informative.

We have a 2009 30RLS Jayco Eagle 5th wheel which is just shy of 32 ft long. It has two slides (couch and dinette) (bedroom) which makes it pretty spacious. It has the Polar barrier package which means that I was warm enough RVing last week during the Artic front in Texas but the water still froze. Our tow vehicle is a 2008 F250 Ford SuperDuty Diesel Supercab. I say "we have" very loosely since I've done most of the traveling solo with 3 dachsunds the last year. Husband was working weekends after I retired and I wasn't sitting around waiting for him to want to RV. We've had smaller 5th wheels, travel trailers, a class C, and a class A over the years and I liked them all because I like to travel.

We full time in our 5th wheel which is a 34-36 foot Challenger rear living room 3 slides the normal 5th wheel stuff including a fish tank and porcelain dolls
we tow it with a diesel dodge pickup. Am I suppose to know more? I'm doing good to know that much
we went from a 24 foot TT what a difference that was (we weren't living in it ) bought this a year before we retired knowing that we would be living in it and it suits us.

Currently we have 2007 Crossroads Sunset Trail, it is the 31ft Quad Bunk house model. We are selling/trading it in this spring. When we bought it was the room and sleeping space for the kids...but now the older 2 never go (19 and 22). We have 3 kids at home, but only 2 go with us all the time. So we are looking at downsizing, and something that is smaller, so we can get in to more places.

Before that we had a tent trailer for a few years..then before that it was tent.

We are full-timers in a Class A motorhome - a 2007 Tiffin Phaeton, 40 foot, 4 slide, diesel pusher, towing a 2003 Honda CRV. It's a great coach for full-timing.

Before we went full-time in 2009, I drove Ms"B"Haven, a 22-foot Class B Dodge Sprinter van with a Mercedes Benz diesel engine - and I LOVED IT. She was a dream to drive, perfect for me and my dog - a little too crowded when DH came along though. Still wish I had her for my 'me trips' to the beach or GTG's.

Well we are nuts. We have two RVs - right now we are enjoying Jernnie our 30 foot Class C Jamboree. She is gas, has no slides but everything else we need. We use her when traveling the winters in Mexico. Some of the roads here are rough and the campgrounds small and the electric -maybe 15amps. We tow our 2005 Jeep Liberty "Willie" with her.
And we have a 40" diesel pusher Alfa SeeYa with two slides, washer/dryer, fireplace - all the comforts of home. We brought it to MX a couple of times but now will just use Alfie in the states. It takes to many amps to run all her goodies. Also tow Willie with her.
Both RVs have satellite TV and Satellite Internet (when it works)

Beth, how do you get a "bedroom" in a 22 foot Class C? I've only seen the back corner beds in the 24 foot+ Class C's.

As for me, I have a 5 inch Class C sitting on the dashboard of my car


and a 6 person tent...


Plan to upsize in the future!

This is my current trailer. It's a Keystone Hideout 19FLB. I've had it just over a year and absolutely love it. There are no slide-outs, but because of the layout it feels very spacious. BTW ... this picture was taken at the Upper Coffeepot Campground in Island Park, ID, where Sheila (Snowball) and her husband are campground hosts in the summer. It's one of the most beautiful campgrounds I've ever been too ... ever.

I started out with a 10' pop-up that had everything I needed, but it was just too hard to do the kind of camping I wanted in it. Had to unhitch & pop up every time I wanted to sleep in it, and that kind of put a crimp in my style. I sure have sweet memories of trips taken in it though!



My next trailer was my hybrid -- kind of a happy medium between a pop-up and a totally hardsided trailer. But again, those darn tent-ends just weren't making it for me, so after 2 years we moved on to the present trailer. I think I'll keep it until I retire ... unless I win the lottery! Okay, maybe that's more that you were asking for, but it was a fun stroll down memory lane for me!

This is getting to be fun. I'm glad I started it. Such a wide variety of rigs and "trips down Memory Lane" for a number of you. Fun looking back and "what was" and "what's now" Lots of great looking rigs on here. Some big, some small, some inbetween.

Also enjoyng the picturs that some of you have posted with your rigs in campgrounds etc. Beautiful scenery.

2002 Winnebago Vista, no slides. Bought in 2004. 21' good size for one. Only has thirteen thousand miles so a new on is out of the question. Overhead sleeping is becoming difficult. If wishes would come true a Coachman Freelander 23BB would fit the bill.

I started with a 19' 98 Pleasureway. My first trip out was to Gulf Shores, AL..spent one month going to A&C shows and buying all my Christmas and birthday gifts as I try to give 'handmade'. Decided I needed just a little bigger..it was between a longer Roadtrek or Chinook. I found a 24' 02 Chinook in Knoxville..flew out and my first excursion was bringing her home. Had a little fun leaving Knoxville, started a big climb westward, some teenagers thought they would just blow me off the road, they didn't know about my big engine so I had to show them Because she is a 'Destiny' I thought that was a perfect name. We have gone to Panama City, Smokies, Myrtle Beach, Colorado, catching many A&C shows of course. BMF and I are about to open a Tropical Fish and Bird store. I will have many handmade nautical theme items primarily with items from other parts of country too. Sure is nice to have an excuse for more travel Destiny is perfect for me and Rudy (Lovey only goes on short excursions), she will park (almost) anywhere a car will and only take a couple of minutes to hook and unhook.
