I did this once but it went off into the ether somewhere.

I would love to meet you and Ron in Kerrville. Sharon (Sprinter) and I are at the KOA right off I-10. As usual for a KOA its about $30 for a 50 amp full hookup.

You know you get your official Flamingo wine/coke/tea glass if you come meet me. I would make reservations because in March we're still pretty full of winter Texans.

Yay Ali! I'm excited you are coming to Texas. So great that you and Ron BOTH have the hours you need AND a site. I love the sign too, have been wanting to see it, now maybe I can meet you at the same time! :)

Just about the best news i've heard in a long time. Good for you both. Sounds stable, financially sound, and wonderful. Congrats Ali (and Ron). Will certainly be a serious change from Blaine! And it sounds like you've got it all planned out already. Merry Christmas indeed! :D

Guess when you step back and let God do his things, he gets things rolling :D

Reservations are made in Clarkston, WA (spending a few days with Brandon and his family before heading to Texas. Then to Middletown, CA for a few days with my aunt & uncle, then on to Fresno to spend a few day with Ron's cousins, then to Las Vegas, NV for some relaxing time with just the two of us and maybe a visit with one of Rob's cousins (not sure where we will be staying the night between Las Vegas and McNeal) then on to Tucson/McNeal, AZ with more aunts & uncles then on to Kerrville (we will be there the night of 3/10 at the KOA - definitely need to share that glass of wine with Karen & Sharon and then on 3/11 onto Hondo, TX. Definitely an adventure just to get to Hondo!

Ali, that is great news! I'm excited for you as I know how good it feels to land a job.
I'm in Scottsdale, over by the Mesa/Tempe end and Linda is in Apache Junction.
I'm sure your head is spinning right now planning your trip and all, plenty of time
yet to figure out if we can make a quick meet up. I do know of a great boondocking
place nearby, Beth and Sparkle stayed when they were here but it doesn't have
internet signal. But the Casino nearby me does and you can boondock in the parkinglot
there. (Casino Arizona, McKellips)

Ali,

Looking so forward to meeting you and Ron! :) You are gonna LOVE the Lone Star Corral. SKP's are great people and it's a gorgeous park :) My parents lease a lot there and are there now. I was there for their Thanksgiving dinner and it was awesome! Christmas is going to be even better. Hondo has a little bit of everything and the only Walmart around for an hour from Kerrville. Verizon phone signal is marginal though. The park is actually outside of Hondo and closer to D'hanis.

I was down on Sunday visiting my folks and we went to Bill and Rosa's Steakhouse and Saloon in D'hanis. The food was great and there was a gentleman there by the name of Ronnie Mason who played the guitar and sang "Old Country" music. It was priceless :) I'd highly recommend it while you're there if you enjoy "Good Country" music :) There is also a general store right next to it. I read a sign in there that said..."Friends don't let friends drink wine out of a box". I came home and asked Karen if we should be offended? ROFL!!!

Can't wait to meet you!

Love,
Sharon

Sharon

We look forward to meeting you and Karen as well. And thank you so much for the feedback about Hondo. We are looking forward to starting taht new job and getting to know everyone there. We think this will be much more up our alley than carnival work. As Ron said, we didn't have to think a lot or use many of our skills (mine were utilized a lot when I was in the office doing admin and customer service)...don't get me wrong...we liked our job with the carnival but are looking to be around those with very similar thinking...camping and having fun!! I really like working in an office setting and Ron likes to identify problems and then figure out how to fix them. The people we spoke to from the Board all seemed like really nice people and we know they have a sense of humor. I believe it was Peggy asked Ron if he was allergic to anything, meaning chemicals used outside, and he responded "I am allergic to work but I can handle it." They all laughed and then they hired us...so they must be good people to work with. See you on the 10th of March. Ron already made our reservations for there at the KOA. I think he is more than a little excited to get on the road.

It's wonderful news for you. Like you say, you will take little trips and explore while you are there and that will be great fun on your days off. How wonderful it is to have the burden of financial concerns lifted from you..indeed, God is Good.

So very glad for you, Ali, that things are working out. Have a great and safe trip south and meet up with any of the sisters that you can. I've met all but Ava that are on your way and they're all great!
