Wow, if it's not one thing, it's another! Glad you could get some help tho. Poor dogs! And poor you! You need to take it easy now and heal up good! Sounds like you got that thing out just in the nick of time! You will feel so much better soon! Hope the doggies feel better soon too! What a day you had! I will send healing thoughts to all of you!

Kim, do you EVER do things the easy way?? Just a little gentle kidding, glad that things are looking up and hope they continue to do so. Just think how much worse it could have been without us at your back!

You're not kidding, Barb! I can handle when stuff happens to me....but when they happen to Sarah or my fur kids; I come all unravelled!

Yes, definately got it out just in time. Even though I'm in pain from the surgery (and over-doing it lifting my Collie today), I already feel the "sickness" gone. It's so funny...for months, I'd been telling my previous doctors that my belly's been growing even though I'd been working out, and the rest of me was getting fit (I actually had a bump that looked as though I was five months pregnant!), they pretty much laughed at me, telling me that I needed to go on a diet and "that's what happens when you get to be a woman of my age". Well, I changed doctors/hospitals, and guess what? As of today, the bump is totally gone! That wasn't fat, it was my engorged gall bladder getting ready to burst!

Just glad it's over and looking forward to improved health (for me and my dogs!)

I was going to say you need a new doctor!! Glad you found one who knows what he/she is doing! I would call the other doctor and tell them that they misdiagnosed you (actually it was a mis-assumption!). They should know how incompetent they are! It always pays to get a second (or even third) opinion!

If that had burst, you could have died! That is nothing to mess with! Just like an appendix that ruptures. The toxins from that can do major damage if not kill you. You are very lucky! And God is definately taking care of you!

Well, my third dog (and service dog) came down ill today as well. The other two are on the mend, I'm happy to report. Not good being alone after surgery and having your service dog sick, too :-( We're havign a rough time of it, but are muddling through. Keeping the good thoughts of trip planning in the forefront of our minds.

Wow Kimberley. From your plans unraveling before surgery to all the stuff afterwards, what a week you have had. So glad to hear that you and the pups are on the mend, especially your service dog. Here's hoping that nothing more than much needed rest and healing time is all that is on your agenda. Linda

Oh my goodness, you certainly need prayers. You just got dragged through the wringer. Glad you hear however that all of you seem to be on the mend though. Yeah, you wonder about those dog foods. I just feed mine on Purina LIttle Bites and we do fine. Sso all of you just lay and relax and get better so you can ge up and enjoying life again, and planning that trip with you and Sarah. :)

I, too, use Purina Little Bites for Molly. The fact that so many poor dogs can get sick from a brand of dogfood in this day and age is really scary. I am so hoping you and ALL the dogs are feeling better this morning. Please give yourself time to heal, both mentally and physically, and try to utilize any and all friends who can help you out in the meantime. Lifting your collie that first day home was incredibly scary! (But, of course, you were already scared not knowing what on earth was wrong with the dogs.)

Thinking of you today, and hope to see a good report in when I get home from school. Molly sends good wishes to the 4-footers, too!

Good Lord Kim, it all comes at once doesn't it? Glad you and your babies are on the mend. You don't have any neighbors that would throw anything into your yard that would harm them, do you? Now you all need to snuggle together and heal.
